I don't recall any probationary period. However' date=' I was pretty active (back in the day) on the mailing list, so one of the admins may have recognized me.[/quote']

Well, I was pretty active (back in the day) on Red October BBS... so there's probably not a soul here who knows who the heck I am, even if I could fill out my profile. :)

Yeah I got to say, focus on the new people. I've adapted from Champs 1 to Hero 6, but 6e, is the one I've seen that pulls in the new folk, faster and easier....

AND, we still get the fun rules crunchy discussions with all the smart people. :D

FYI, we have several different camps of 'regulars' on this board.

Some who buy nearly everything published by HERO.

Some who have done so up to 5th edition but don't plan on converting to 6th.

Some who felt the same way with 4th edition.

There might even be some who are still using 3rd edition!

It's actually a fairly typical upgrade cycle. I've noticed a lot of similarities with the upgrade cycles of Windows over the years. The company I work for now supports some customers that still use 98 machines!
