bigbywolfe
Re: Review of The Widening Gyre By Blackwyrm Publishing - Steampunky Goodness! Great review. Only two minor things I disagree with. I had no trouble reading the text. Though there was similar complaints about the text in the print version of Terracide and I had no trouble reading that either, so maybe I'm just odd. The other thing is the comment on there not being enough info on running the setting without magic. I don't know how much more info you would need on that. Leaving out the magic you still have the rest of the book about the technology, time period, et cetera. What else do you need? The only issue might be that most of the villain NPCs have magical/supernatural elements. Aside from that I really don't know what else could be added beyond "leave out the magic elements if you don't like magic in your steampunk". Overall a great review, though I'm biased as it is one of my favorite Hero System suppliments.
Jomster
Re: Review of The Widening Gyre By Blackwyrm Publishing - Steampunky Goodness! Thanks for reviewing! I have to say it was looking pretty attractive from the Hero Store description. After reading your review, I think this is now safely on the "I will buy" list!
