starblaze
One of my players just sent a rough draft of his Pulp Hero character that he created using Hero Designer V3. He looks alright except he has something called Combat Ready. I have looked in all my core rulebooks but I haven't found this one. Can anyone tell me what this is? Thanks Starblaze
Mickael
Re: Combat Ready? Could it just be a fancy name for a power? Like the ones in some published material... (or even on some player-made character sheets)
Christopher
Re: Combat Ready? Could you give us some more hints: What Price has he listed for this ability? In what Section of the Sheet (Skills, Perks, Powers, Complciations) has he written it? Also the version Number game is extremly relevant (4E, 5E, 6E and 6E Concise all have somewhat different names for different abilities). Or could you do as Steve Long said, and just ask him what he meant? Could be anything from mispelled too missread too misplaced.
Sean Waters
Re: Combat Ready? It is not a 'standard' one as far as i know. Get him to email you the HD3 file and take a look or, if you don't have HD3: 1. You should - it's great, and 2. Post it here and one of us will take a look and tell you how it is built. starblaze
Re: Combat Ready? He sent it to me. Since I don't have the book he got it from I didn't know about it. is in the dark champions book page 91, It is for my lock-picking skill so I don't get penalties in stressful situations. COMBATREADY As noted on page 61, sometimes trying to use certain Skills in combat conditions, or other highstress crisis situations, imposes a -1 to -3 penalty on the Skill Roll. A character with this Talent does not suffer that diffi ulty; he knows how to keep his head and focus on the job at hand regardless of distractions. Characters must buy this Talent per Skill, unless the GM rules otherwise. ■ Combat-Ready Cost: 3 Character Points (bought as three 3-point Skill Levels with Noncombat Skills, Only To Counteract The Combat Conditions Penalty With A Specific Skill (-2)). psyber624
Re: Combat Ready? Interesting talent. Personally I just allow PSL's to be bought that affect skill use (and I wonder why they weren't made RAW for that, would seem appropriate.)
