A Question about Ancient Rome

May have been already mentioned (havent read this thread all the way through.

 

Eastern Empire fell with Constantinople (capital) in 1453. Though it had been getting progressively smaller I think by the Turks.

 

I think the Western part officially fell 476. I know it didnt last much longer after Atilla the Hun was around (he died in 453 if I remember).

 

Augustus Caesar was the 1st Emperor from I believe (27BC-14AD)

 

I'd say Roman Republic/Empire was at their peak power from about 100BC-200AD or thereabouts.

While I am not a big fan of the game engine, FVLMINATA is a clever game based around an alternate history of Rome. You can mine it for lots of flavor.
