Vondy
Anybody out there know what the mass of the earth is off the top of their head? And, further, how many doublings that comes out at?
Zeropoint
According to http://seds.lpl.arizona.edu/nineplanets/nineplanets/earth.html , the earth masses 5.972e24 kg. That's 5.972e21 metric tons, obviously, or about sixty billion trillion tons ( I think. Something about that figure is bugging me.) A few moments' work with a scientific calculator reveals that starting from a base mass of 100 kg, you need 75.66 doublings, rounded up to 76. As a side note, this clearly reveals the awesome power of exponential growth. Zeropoint Behold the power of two! Simon
5.9742 × 1024 kilograms which is roughly 76 doublings.
Vondy
Excellent. For a mere 400 AP I can now shift the earth to another dimension.
Alcamtar
You can?? How many kids (er, DNPCs) do you have anyway?

Still trying to figure out how to change che lunar cycle? Or are you up to something even more dramatic now?

melessqr
Here's an interesting supplementary question... what's the Schwartzchild Radius of 1 earth mass, and is it less than 2 meters? Melessqr

I think maybe you could save some points here. Is there any rule against using a hex area w/mega-scale to do this? Fuzzy Gnome
From The Electronic Sky: Schwarzchild Radius For a body of a given mass, the radius beneath which that body's gravitational field will take on the properties of a Black Hole, preventing the escape of all matter and energy. The Schwarzchild radius represents an immensely compacted state - for example, it has been calculated that the Schwarzchild radius of the entire Earth is of the order of one centimetre.
