Rapid Attack changes 5e to 6e

You are looking for the Snap Shot maneuver in 6e2 p43.

If one wants to get out from behind cover, attack, and then get back behind cover, then Snap Shot (6e2 p88) is, indeed, the maneuver to use.  If, however, one wants to move across a space and shoot at the same time (i.e. to simulate shooting mid-way through the move ... or simulate shooting at the beginning of the move [while moving] and continuing the move) ... then Strafe (also on 6e2 p88) is likely the maneuver to use.

Thanks for the page# catch!

As I recall, an attack action ends your phase.  However, in 5e, you could use Rapid Attack to shoot first, then move.  This no longer appears to be the case in 6e.  Is there any way to make an attack action, like firing a pistol and then moving?

With or without spending points on it?

You can buy Movement on a Trigger for example. With the Trigger being pulling the trigger.

Then you can move, shoot, and shooting sets of the Triggerred movement.

Or you can ride a palindromedary
