  1. Re: Real-World Entangle Trap I don't think its supposed to envelope the person. Just re-seal the opening that was made and delay the intruder. If they wanted something to envelope an intruder there would be a high likely chance of suffication.
  2. Re: [Magic System Comparison] It looks like you've put a lot of time and effort in to this. These are some good concepts. I've got a couple of questions for clarification. What is the rational for having spells with 6 charges that last a day or more each, at least one I noticed lasted 100 years. They would cast one then the next day get it back. They're not usable on others, I think. The Metal Body spell, it looks like you did everything to could to make it a self transform to metal, except make it resistant. Was this on purpose to balance out the 18PD/18ED? This very heavy metal form wouldn't stop a dagger though. Some of the characters have no spell powers but they have skills of the spell. How well does this work balance wise with the other players? How do you use this in play? Thanks, good job, and keep up the good work Fionan. (Playing Champions since 81')

  4. In a recent game I played, I could tell from the beginning of the adventure that it would wrap up in a warehouse full of vampires. I guess I was the nominal leader, so instead of following the usual trail, I almost immediately set half the group to go get a gasoline tanker truck (All they could find was propane). When they got back, we drove the tanker truck, followed by another car behind it (in case the truck didn't light), into the warehouse where it to managed to destroy all of the hench-vampires and a couple of weeks of planning on the part of the GM. Two key Vamps got out, but it was a lot better than it could've been. The GM couldn't get too upset because what we did made perfect sense. Fionan.
  5. The special effect for the Desolid is a technological suit the would adjust the vibrational frequency to walk through things. The attack that affects the real world is partially phasing their hand though someone. Overall I think the affect is similar to the Vision of the Avengers, if I remember right. Thanks for the insights, they've helped a lot. Fionan.
  6. The Hero is going to be an unknown to begin with. I understand that after he gets a reputation bad guys may be more prepared, but it seems like only if they are expecting him. It seems like the GM, I'm not actually the one running the game, will have to throw magic and mentalists at the party constantly. On the other hand Demon and PSI could become major groups in the city where the game is going to take place. It's easy to get major mileage out of both groups. Fionan.
  7. There is a player in my group who wants to run a hero with the Desolid power. Vuln to Mental and Magic. How can the GM harass or threaten the hero game after game. Esp if hero has an attack useable while desolid. ie phasing through someone. I'd appreaciate any suggestions. Thanks. Fionan.
