  1. Re: Photographic Reflexes When writing up taskmaster, you must include a number of non-skillmimic powers. All the eq he has access to like sword/gun/bow-arrow ect. Best shown through a MP. the ellement of skills should be addressed through a VVP with some limits. Taskmaster is cool, but without all his eq he is unlikly to be competitve with other marvel supers. Also do not forget the char maxium of 20(he is just human- a key ellement ). It would be very easy for Taskmaster to get a power upgrade in the marvel universe. He does not because that is part of what makes him interesting...A human level person compeating with Gods/Mutants/Power Armor ect. I am not sugesting he is just an ordanary human, but on the feild of Marvel supers bechpressing 375 and 2X reflexes is not that impressive.
  2. Re: Photographic Reflexes I always liked to show the power as VPP, only to copy skills seen(skills/talents/powers that are skills)(lim worth only -1/4), with the 2X adder for at will(cosmic). If you do not allow powers...how do you explain glidding(with focus cape) or missil deflection?. Some people don't like it, becuse you always have something to contribute. But if limited to whats you can see...gotta find someone with acro and 6 extra points in it before you can say... I dump all my points into acro. Plus, push him out of a plane with no parachute...not so super after all. If you are building someone like this, you will have to buy lots of skill anyway( how about driving like Marrio, while shooting like punisher?)a small pool will cover lots of weird skills, but buy most of what you use day to day so it is always available.
  3. Re: Need Help with Low-powered supers I think the numbers you are working with are fine, though with 6E, 300 is probably closer to where you want to be(=250 in 5E). I never liked the arbatry limit of 23 dex though, now it is no longer linked to OCV/DCV... so it is not nearly as powerful as in 5E. Don't forget people now have to pay for all the stats they got for free before. I would build at least 3 char before setting my limits. A Brick, a Blaster and a Martial Artist. Remember, you will make char with your own tastes in mind, but your players will have there own style. Make them conform to the power level of your world, but please do not make them have to be clones of your STYLE. Good luck.
  4. Re: What if... My favorite question that was never asked.. What if Taskmaster was a hero ? With very little help Taskmaster could have replaced the dead Captain America . He is the coolest char, but never has the ambition to put himself at risk or stand up for a cause. He could be the perfect example of how much a "normal" could archive in a world of supers.
  5. Re: Would you play a game with pre-generated characters? I would hate to play a pre-gen( except at a con). When I make a char he ( I hope ) is a smooth blend of flaws perks powers skills ect.... that all add up to one char concept. I can understand a DM wanting to set a power level and not just a point level and a char that is built with the world and story in mind is essential. But if I have a choice, then I would hate to give up the oppertunty to build a char that has options and motivations that all work togeather and in a play style that I enjoy. For me, the chance to play is to rare to try and fofill someone's elses fantasy. I can understand cons and one shots... to much time building char. But for a real game I would always prefer to make my own( if it fits to DM's power and style for game ) I know not everyone cares that much about the "BUILD", but to some of us its is how we attatch ourselfs to a char. Well thats my thoughts....
  6. Re: Waking up with super powers What kind of powers? Skill Mimic&Summon Clones... summon a clone and give him the skills needed to do the job I would be the most useful person ever, without having to place myself at risk. What would I hate? Telepathy, what your thinking is non of my bissness. Would it matter if others had powers? Hell ya, if everyone has powers, then chaos. Who would I tell? Friends/ Family How would my life change? I hope it would be more exciting!
  7. Re: Whoops! Did I really allow that power? With reguard to t-port/mega scale, I belive you can only use (usable as an attack) with a combat movement rate and all mega scale porting is inherently non combat . For game breaking effects I think summon(x) were x is a huge # of combatents can make the game slow to a standstill/stop.
