Last but not less, was the frenchy arrogant gentleman calling himself the Decibel Force.

Equiped with a powered armor that give him an incredible resilience and strength, which powers are supplied by the ambiant sounds, that he can project using sonic weaponry, he's kinda an exentric rich industrial goldenboy (a bit like Tony Stark ? ).

Flirtatious and libertin, he's known to have numerous romantic conquests, specially among superheroines from all around the World.

And of course, he joyfully joined the U.N.I.T (Thanks Jack for the name ;) )

Background/History: Michael Dumont has always been a violent man. he KNEW that something within him, was making him worth of the best things, that people around him were not as "good" as he was.

He had a brilliant mind, and an natural athletic build, and as soon as he could, he signed to be incorporated in US army.

He was sent on different front of the globe, as a Marine, and found his way in secret operations that needed a lethal expertise.

Then was the day when the officials proposed him to have his abilities improved by controlled mutations.

    He accepted.

It was painful and long, but he came out as a regenerative dog of war of a new kind.

His field of operation were politic murders, assassination and intimidation. And he was good at it.

So good that he more and more started to have insatiable appetites that the Army could provide him anymore.

They tried to arrest him, but it was caseless. Then they tried to kill him. And it was the ultimate error that made him fall into the mercenary state.

Now, he sells his expertise to the most offering sadist, and enjoys perticularly to be sent after official Armys.

Personality/Motivation: Dumont is a born soldier and killer, doubled with a sadist.

He likes to use violence and intimidation when he's sent on fields and terrorize populations.

He uses everything at his disposal to accomplish his mission, even involving the most barbaric stuff, like mutilation to create a terror climax.

  3. Re: Upsilon

oh, she could interact with the heroes in many ways.

She could be bored and decide to annoy a group to have some "fun"

She could be willing to get an object, something that the heroes have.

She could have a crush (very temporary of course) on one of them, and become a real dangerous annoyance

She could have set some "minor" vilains to get her something she needs but feels too lazy to grab herself or because she has something more interesting to do.

She could meet a Cosmic Being sufficiently strong to make her in bad mood (FireWing ? ) ...

    and so on...

She's a bored vilainess so yes, she would interact with them.

  5. Re: Create a Hero Theme Team!

    Very Well.

The World has always been at war somewhere. And we, simple folks, use to hope our governments will act the best for our lives and our children.

And there is the O.N.U (or U.NO in american ?).

the nation groupment to make our world better.

And What if each nation, represented at the Big 5 of the ONU sent a Champion ?

A superhero(ine) to protect the world, joining force with the others ?

What would such a Super Group be like ?

  6. Re: Upsilon

I have always found that the fun of playing a character comes a lot more from their flaws than their strengths. Upsilon sounds like she would be a blast to roleplay, chewing up the scenery with really awful, overwrought dialogue about how magnificent she is, overacting in the worst tradition of Hollywood, and just generally not understanding how ridiculous she is. I imagine that the first time your players encounter her, they will underestimate her greatly.

    Then comes the boom.

On the mechanics side, you might want to throw some kind of mental defenses in there. She could drop quickly if you have a mentalist or two in your PC's party (remember that most mental powers don't suffer from range modifiers). Although that would be really funny, it'll be less so if you don't see it coming. I also note that you don't list any CV's. Not sure if that's an oversight or if she's just at base on everything (not like she has to worry about getting hit).

All in all, a good solid start for this character. Can't wait to see what her minions are like.

Ah yes, I keep forgetting the Mental Defenses. But this time it is present, look at her Resistant Protection.

Well, to Roleplay this, I would only have to let my very bad mood come out - you know, the one you get at a too early morning, when you want everything just to be perfect, to get a massage, to get attentions, and your cripsed toast breaks in two in your coffee... raaaahh.

Vanity and Pride are the most evident of her psychological weakness.

As for having minions, it could be practically any villain or subgroup that she finds useful at a precise time, for a precise reason.

But having an army of followers at her feet ? Nah, she's not patient enough.

And there are few things as silly as they seem.

Yes she could go into a jewelry shop and steal what she want with no chance to get captured.

But she won't do that, or maybe just to WAIT for the silly first superhero that will try to get her and kick his ass... just for the fun.

    An evil bitch she is.

No, in fact she'd prefer, that the man she's a one day crush would do everything in his power to please her ; He'd be greatly inpired to offer her the jewelry piece she wants, to massage her, to drive her and make her have fun. And the more he'll do, the more she'll get bored of him, because it's just too easy.

Do you catch my drift ?

She's both Cosmically inhuman, and terribly Human with all kind of Urges.

Maybe A psy Lim : Feels Lonely whatever she does, and it upsets her (Very Frequently, Strong)

  7. Hi there.

My Players asked me if there were very dangerous and costly build Vilains that threaten the World in Champions.

    I said of course yes.

We had a talk, and then, I realized.

Never ever I built such a character.

Now I just tried, And I think I didn't do it good at all, tough I have some ideas.

Knowing that, I'd like advices on how to build such creature.

I know what I did is costly, as I aimed a Cosmic Threat.

But is that not too much ? Is that enough ?

I admit I have no real idea on how powerful suc ha character should be.

    Please, your critics are welcome.

Background/History: Yolande Van Haagen was a netherlandian top model. She always had been vain, arrogant and venal, been raised by n ultra feminist mother, that got divorced from a rich industrial billionaire.

She inherited her mother's beauty, and lofty attitude, and beside her access to Oxford School, she didn't like the idea to "work" for her success.

Using her natural charm, beauty and cold heart, she made herself a path into the harsh world of mode, going to Paris and New York aswell, and working for trademarks like Victoria Secret and Vogue.

She tried everything once, all accessible vices, becoming more and more blased.

She had everything but what she truly wanted : a power of her own.

And one day, her desire became true.

On a certain rainy day, the Superhuman named Behemoth (now trying to redeem from his past crimes), captured her and threatened to kill her if he didn't obtain a ransom.

Yolande, upset to be treated just as a piece of meat, treated the Vilain with equal disdain, unconscious of her of weakness, and the Vilain got so upset he tossed her with rage into a nuclear power plant.

The Dark Matter that engulfed her at this moment, mixed to the radiations should have killed her.

But the Universe had another plan for her.

Her body and mind were torn apart and she literally disintegrated... only to reform herself atom by atom, during the following minutes.

The pain was excrutiating, the tension and focus needed surhuman.

    but she made it.

her anger, her thirst for power, her desire to live was stronger than death.

Then she raised from the dark matter, and discovered her abilities to manipulate a force rarely seen on Earth.

The gravitic forces and massive destruction possibilities of Black Holes manipulation.

She wasn't the Alpha, and she wouldn't be the Omega, but she'd be sure to be present when the End of Time come. She'd be Upsilon.

Now, may the World take care.

Personality/Motivation: Vain, lofty, arrogant, venal, and purely evil by taste.

Upsilon has no limits, at least no human ones anymore.

She'll take what she want, and destroy what she can't have.

She wants to be treated as a Goddess, and she nearly have such powers.

Quote: I'm the last scene of your life, miserable worm. Get on your knees and accept the unavoidable.

Powers/Tactics: Upsilon fights her opponent using any power at her disposal to crush them as insects, and humiliate them the best way possible.

She tends to be hatred of autority, and even disgusted of most people than she finds stupid or uninteresting.

Campaign Use: Upsilon is to be used for egoist and selfish interests.

She doesn't have great plans to conquer the world, but she'd like to be worshipped like a Goddess.

She can often employ several vilains as a mastermind, but she's lame at commanding them efficiently.

    In fact she doesn't care.

No one can capture or defeat her... at least in her mind

Appearance: A tall, statuesque and incredibly beautiful raven haired woman in her splendid thirties.

her body has been magnified by the use of her sub atomique and gravitic control. She wears a very troubling costume, enjoying how her physique plays with most men mind, in particular the Vilainous type.

What happens when someone is working too much ? He or she get a nervous disorder. One says, she gets a breakdown.

It was what happened to Mina Vandaleur, in Ottawa. She literrally exploded one day, been late and alone at her office.

it was her latent power, and she reassembled.

And now and then, she's known as Breakdown, but everytime she explodes, she comes back... nude like a worm...

As promised to Enforcer, there are pictures I use to describe Ambassador (on the right), Brunhilde (in the middle) and New Widow (on the left, who is Recluse Rival).

it might give you the taste to build the so called Widow ;)

  11. Re: Create a Hero Theme Team!

Thomas Sanders, aka Ignition, was a fiery and fierce opponent for dozens of foes. His abilities to spread Fire terrorized more than one vilain, and he was proud to have this reputation. but one day, his foes made an alliance and, covered him into a highly inflammable chemical product, with no other choice than to use his Fire abilities to save a Schoolbus and the children inside.

Awfully burnt to death, he survived but his body was nothing more than burnt flesh.

The SuperTeam of handicaped heroes came one by one visting him, to convince him he wasn't done with life, with his duty.

So he raised from the ashes literally, and now the World will heard about Burnout.

  12. Hi !

An exchange with Enforcer84 and some promises to post pictures for his Characters on the Else Earth Thread, and there came another idea.

I'll make the post for his thread tonight at home, promise.

Here, some pictures some of you would like maybe to think about and create a full character with them.

    Enjoy and surprise us.

Myself I'm working on some of those, will post when I'm done.
