  1. Hello

Maybe this topic has already been discussed, but I wanted to know, How in 6th Ed, do you create a damage Shield power ?

I didn't find any adder in Hero Designer

If I have to create a Fire Damage Shield Force field, how should I do for example ?

    Regards

    Opale

Damage Shielding players with good intentions.

  2. Re: Lady Shiva - Transgendered Goddess ?

Fascinating idea. But possibly it should be more than a Single Thing? Could She discern the names of things that are persons?

At first I was going to suggest this should be "Simulated Sight Group" but I'm not sure. In any case, I wonder if there shouldn't be more Divine Senses. How open is Her 3rd eye in this inarnation?

I didn't want this power to be too unbalancing. Imagine what you can already do with such an ability.. Like knowing the Secret ID of a metahuman...By GM decision it could be limited to do things that don't overgo the scenario of course..

Only an =<11 roll? For what look to be the major abilities?

And half DCV to change them? That's kind of a harsh penalty.

Changed that for a Restrainable abilty as she must be able to do some minor indhou dance, and for a Sadhana Skill roll , -1 per 20 points.

Not sure what kind of environment this is (and I don't know enough about yoga to recognize the word Vashitva) but I think you need to rework the Power. Unless I'm mistaken your +1 and -1 effects cancel out and what you were trying to do is make them variable - not raise and lower the temperature at the same time. I could, of course, be mistaken, and it's possible a Deity COULD both lower and raise the temperature simultaneously, or produce a gale and a calm in the same place.

Yes big work to do in here. I have a problem to formulate this power. Technically She should be able to manifest a brutal weather change in a Megascale area effect, and variable effects. But I'm unsure on how to do this properly as she could give perception maus (rains, tornadoes..) and set up the wishing temperature and so on...

Help would be appreciated here. *fluttering eyes*

Why only the languages of Earth?

Mostly a cost decision. But I wondered why she should be able to understand computer languages or aliens ones.. I saw no point about it.

Needs to be specified as Tantric Dance, I think. That is your intention isn't it?

Indeed. The Export Template seems to be eating some informations... Most of the powers normally include a note explaining what there are for. It helps my players to have a better vision of what they can do.

And yet I didn't notice either Paramedic (1st Aid) nor a Healing Power. Or I might have overlooked it? Of course, you possibly felt Healing was not appropriate for this Deity, or this Aspect. But in that case, is this Skill appropriate...

Oops ! forgot it ! Thanks for noticing Lucius.

Which edition are you using again?

6th Ed. 400 points building including 75 Disadvantages points.

I think these are possibly redundant. Although if I were running a game I don't know that I'd dissallow them.

If you decide you want to use only one, here are some other Deific Complications:

Mind of a Goddess: Vulnerability to Mind Scan (a beacon on the Mental Plane)

DNPC: Worshippers. And/or anything from a Psychological Complication to a mystical Compulsion to respond to prayers or petitions from sincere worshippers and/or a certain class of persons such as "Initiated Brahmins who have performed specified ceremonies and fasted at least 3 days" etc.

Also, an Avatar probably has a Divine Purpose, a destiny - it may be something simple and definite such as "Slay this specific monster" or more diffuse such as teaching a specific doctrine or technique to the world, or even serving as an exemplar of a virtue or set of virtues. How you would handle this and whether it might constitute a Complication, I don't know.

    Lucius Alexander

Asking the palindromedary how to pronounce "henotheism"

    Hmm yes.

I won't do the DNPC worshippers thing, because to me it would oblige to buy a fringe Benefit : Deity 35 points.

Both other ideas are kinda interesting. i'll have to decide. Anyway it's easy to find Disadvantages for an incarnated God. :)

    Opale

    Says the palindromedary "henotheism"...

  3. Re: Lady Shiva - Transgendered Goddess ?

Yes, I was aware of this androgynous God, but the Picture I'm using guided me to create the character.

    Thanks anyway Chris :)

Btw, I think the build I made is not totally refined, so if any of you has suggestion, I'd be happy to hear.

For instance the change environment could be changed with area of effect and megascale..

I realized that be relecturing the Rules.

    Opale

Checking she's fully "femalinous" as Gods has sometimes odd pranks

  4. Tadaaa !

I got an idea during the night, most of my players and myself willing to give the campaign a more mystic streak, and some technologiccal characters aren't fitting it very well, so we change them.

And there came a demand : "I want to play a Goddess..."

I blinked then I said "Okay" with a sly grin.

imagine a indhou God incaranted into a mortal vessel to save the World.

Imagine that the god was Shiva, God of Destruction/creation, a God of Goodness.

Imagine now the vessel was.. a woman

    *big grin*

Now the ascete God has to accept the precepts of his Faith. To turn into Lady Shiva, loosing the Holy Updo of his hair, and gaining torrid curves and other urges. But keeping the Great Siddhis powers.

I need to develop the background more for the intro but tell me what you think of that.

  5. Another of my new builds I made for another new player (yep my gamemastering table is turning).

I am lazy to translate all the Background from french to english but with adapted bribery I might *winks*

Just to say, the character is mostly an ex-pro boxer, which family was killed by the Mafia, after a tricked combat boxing, and turned himself toward the dark magic in a moment of despair.

And an entity responded to his begging, a Demon of Vengeance.

He's a bit like the Ghost Rider character, but joined the Team of my characters during a great session play where they discovered what he was and wanted to help him.

Please critisize it and any advices welcome as always.

Do tell me if it's any good too

  7. Hello there !

I'm slowly reading most of the charctaers build proposed in this section, and I noticed lots of character pictures are of a anime style.

For instance the very good characters of Psidestep or Blue Streak.

Did you guys found those somewhere on the internet ? Or did you use some kind of program to do it ? if yes, which one ?

Well Thank you first for the clarification QuestionMan.

As you can see, the character concept is kinda very complete and interesting.

My first reaction was to reject it, but now I think it would fit in my campaign and even make me sure that the player has a solid concept to develop.

I don't ask you to build ALL the character, but the most POWERS you can show me, perticularly the complex ones, the more it will help.

I already told, and I assume : I'm a good gamemistress for imagination, bujt not with technics alas.

So, if someone has the heart and the courage, I'd be owing him/her alot for a hand to build those powers and armor.

  9. Hi there !

I am having a difficulty with a concept a player of mine wants to play.

I hesitate alot on how to build it.

He told me about the Alpha Flight serie from Marvel comic books and he'd like to play a Box-like character.

I have been looking on the internet to know wht the character can do exactly, and this is what I get

Madison Jeffries is a mutant gifted with the ability to mentally restructure glass, plastic, and metal to anything within his imagination, including remote manipulation and control of devices. Recently, his powers seem to have evolved into full technopathy, being able to communicate with machinery.

While wearing the Box armor he has increased strength, stamina, and resistance to injury as well as an array of technological devices such as boot rockets, various scanners, and assorted weapons. Madison can reconfigure the Box armor to any form he can conceive, including various vehicle modes. Using Madison's powers, the Box armor can also absorb additional materials to increase its size and mass as needed. However, while merged with Box, Madison can only transmute the armor itself, and must separate from Box to use his powers to affect other materials without absorbing them into the armor.

How would you build such a thing ?

I'm not understanding your use of the word vulgar.

Well, I like myself pictures that are erotic or suggestive, some are goods.

The picture we are talking about here is just too.. bold, blunt, unraffined, slutty.. plain vulgar.

But as I said, the charactr concept is a good one tough.
