  1. Re: Looking for teams. Greetings What level? Electricia is at 28. She is pretty potent with her Gigabolt. Electricia@freshrod Always willing to help.
  2. Re: I have faced, the Destroyer.... Ahhhh... I was thinking you were talking about the Super-Destroid Open Mission out side the factory. Yeah the factory mission is possible to solo, but pretty hard.
  3. Re: Well, I have my Defeated Grond perk now Congrats, ajackson! I'm looking forward to trying it sometime. If you need help with Teliosaurus, let me know.
  4. Re: Disappointment Greetings Hey, what about a simplified board game version? I love board games as well, but there is not many superhero one's that I'm aware of.
  5. Re: MA/Claws... is there any Hope? Everything I've read says all the MA passives are pure crappola. It's really too bad. I mean think about wanting to make a brawler and you really can only use Might, and even that's not all that great. My MA/Might char (Uncle Samson... see video =) ) can hold his own. But only through attrition. Blocking and relying on a high recovery and regeneration to keep me alive. Slowly whitling away at their boss healthbar's slowly due to the lack of a real powerful attack. Oh well, luckily there are a lot of other fun powersets to play with, and just hope that they fix Martial Arts at some point.
  6. Re: I have faced, the Destroyer.... The Super Destroid (I think that's the giant robot open mission you are talking of) is a pesky bucket of bolts. The first few parts of the mission you can accomplish with just a few heroes. But the robot, you'd better have around 8 or more. And a lot of time to kill. The hard part is that there isn't a really close re-spawn point. But if I'm on, throw out a shout. Electricia@freshrod is the toon I play mainly now. Anyone else might not be much help.
  7. Greetings I was wanting to start a discussion about powers and their pro vs con's. I thought that we could do this as a kind of list... your list of the best of the best powers from your experiences. So, lets start like this: 1. Energy Builder a. Melee b. Ranged 2. Damage Dealer a. Melee b. Ranged 3. Passive 4. Block 5. AOE a. Melee b. Ranged 6. Hold Of course this is all due to builds, playstyle, and Super Stats. But it is also clear that not all CO powers are created equal. So let's hear your thoughts.
  8. Re: Looking for a Hero Buddy Greetings I love teaming up. I'm usually on most nights at least for a little while. Look for Electricia@freshrod. She's about level 23 now.
  9. Re: MA/Claws... is there any Hope? Yeah... been reading on the forums this weekend. Most people seem to share the opinion that MA needs to be overhauled, or at least buffed a bit. I guess, from my playing experience, I would really like to see MA be able to get in, do some major damage, and get out. While it has the "get in" available with the Thundercat Lunge, there seems to be any true, "Major Damage" powers in MA. The other thing I seem to hear a lot is that all the Passive powers stink. I agree.
  10. Greetings I had created, a while ago, a MA/Claws Character (called BlindSide) which I haven't really leveled much yet. So as I have been reading the forums and trying to plan him out, I'm beginning to get the idea that the MA/Claws Powerset is a bit lack-luster. Does anyone have a Character like this? Have you had any success? Do you have any suggestions? Or should I give up and scrap him for a different toon?
  11. Re: Blood Moon Undead Heroes tips [possible spoilers] Thanks for the tips, Celt. I have also found that, when you do reach the Boss, the pet drops you get (all I can think of now is the Bone Whistle, I think there are a couple others...) really help. Especially if you have a range character. The Boss will focus on the Zombie Pets, while you can sit back an plug away at them. I struggled defeating the first few bosses (going solo on each) before I began using the drops. Also the healing drops are handy =)
  12. Re: Question time... Greetings You should go back to Canada. Check with Robert MacKenzie. As far a a wiki, there is this: http://championsonline.wikia.com/wiki/Champions_Online_Wiki and this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champions_Online Usually when you run dry on missions you should go to another map. Also remember to check the Crime Computer. Good luck.
  13. Greetings Fellow CO'ers Cryptic has opened the microtransaction store. Glad they have. It was a missing piece. Now it's there. 1000 Cryptic points = $12.50 4 additional characters slots = 1200 points ($15) Full retcon = 1000 points ($12.50) Character rename = 280 points ($3.50) 2 additional costume slots = 400 points ($5.00) The store also has some costume sets (240 each), emblem sets (80 each) and figurines (80 each) available. I think they've done a good job with pricing. Not too high, so people can't aford what they want, but not too low, so everyone is respec'ing every other day. Thoughts?
  14. Re: Respecing Might based on Test Server notes I had that problem with my initial build (actually my second build... now on my third for Uncle Samson). I had great defense, but fights took forever due to a lack of offense. Now I think I'm a little more balanced. By the level end I hope to have a good offense, defense, and multi PvP builds.
  15. Re: Respecing Might based on Test Server notes Ok... I did a total respec (my free reset) last night. It took me over 2 hours as I really labored and tried out some of these in the brand spankin' new Danger Room (I can't remember what they really call it... but I like it ). I'm not sure if I like the new build better... but it does pack a better punch! Clobber + Sucker Punch Thungdering Kick + Floating Lotus Blossum Thunderbolt Lunge + Essence Assault Hurl + Rubble Trouble Burning Chi Fist + Rank 2 + Fists of Righteous Flame Thunder Clap Regeneration + Rank 3 Resurgence + Evanescent Emergence Masterful Dodge Retaliation Of course I can't slot all of these. I usually take Resurgence instead of Masterful Dodge. But I needed to take it to get Burning Chi Fist. I know a lot of people recommend some of the Might heavy hitting powers (Room Sweeper, Haymaker, Uppercut) but I really don't like the Knockback. Uppercut has Knock-Up which isn't so bad, but I really don't need 2 charge powers. After taking it, I'm not so sure about Thundering Kicks. I think I liked Beatdown better, but again, I needed to take 5 MA powers to get Burning Chi Fist, which I like. It works fine in PvE, but I haven't tried PvP yet. Just in case you care: Abyssal Super Constitution Super Recovery Physical Conditioning Enduring Energetic Mighty Quick Recovery Tireless
  16. Re: Respecing Might based on Test Server notes OK... I broke down and bought a CO game guide, (was standing around in Gamestop while my son was playing with a Wii, saw it, had a moment of weakness..., it was only $20.00) and have been looking over the powersets. While I have looked through them in the PowerHouse, it's nice to have it all written down in front of you. It's made me think about Respec'ing Uncle Samson. I really haven't had any problems with the build I have now, but I have noticed it seems to lack real punch! I win through outlasting rather than a serious beatdown. Here is what I'm thinking... Existing Powers: Powers: Level 1: Righteous Fists - Rank 3 Level 1: Beatdown - Rank 3 Level 5: Thunderbolt Lunge Level 5: Jetboots Level 8: Hurl - Rank 2 Level 11: Regeneration - Rank 3 Level 14: Thunderclap - Rank 2 Level 17: Resurgance Level 20: Retaliation Proposed Powers: Powers: Level 1: Clobber - Rank 3 Level 1: Thundering Kicks - Rank 3 Level 5: Thunderbolt Lunge Level 5: Jetboots Level 8: Hurl - Rank 2 Level 11: Regeneration - Rank 3 Level 14: Thunderclap - Rank 2 Level 17: Resurgance Level 20: Retaliation + Burning Chi Fist I'm not sure what else I have to take to unlock a teir 3 MA power, but I'm lvl 28 now. So what do you think?
  17. Re: Gameplay Videos Thanks for the comments, guys. I had fun making it... but not as much fun as playing However, I still have several other characters: Electricia, Blindside, Psy-Kick, Sarge, so I've got plenty of opportunities to do some more. @Eightfold_Path: Thanks for the link. I'd never heard of "machinima" before. The site is pretty cool. Gives me some ideas. "Snacky's Journal" was pretty funny. I guess it would be funnier of I was more familiar. I'm one of, I believe, four gamers in the world who hasn't played WoW.
  18. Greetings Since I don't think anyone has shown any yet, I'll start this thread. Not only is this my first CO Video, my first WeGame Video, and my first Gameplay Video... It's really the first Video I've ever made. So... don't expect too much. http://www.wegame.com/watch/Save_the_Day/ Just some Uncle Samson action. Enjoy.
  19. Re: Respecing Might based on Test Server notes Greetings I don't have a strickly Might character, I like to think of him as a Melee Brawler. Here's what I run: Abyssal to Start Superstats: Level 5: Super Constitution Level 13: Super Endurance Powers: Level 1: Righteous Fists - Rank 3 Level 1: Beatdown - Rank 3 Level 5: Thunderbolt Lunge Level 5: Jetboots Level 8: Hurl - Rank 2 Level 11: Regeneration - Rank 3 Level 14: Thunderclap - Rank 2 Level 17: Resurgance Level 20: Retaliation This is from memory... so I might be off on a few and not sure what advantages Talents: Level 1: Abyssal Level 6: Super Constitution Level 9: Super Endurance Level 12: Energetic Level 15: Negotiator Level 18: Mighty Level 21: Tireless Something like that. Without a lot of strength it sometimes takes me a while to bring down the big guys, but I have enough Health and Energy to get the job done. p.s. I also got my rear handed to me in Dr. D's Roboshop.
  20. Greetings I was all excited about creating my first Nemesis, and then... The Second (I believe it's the second, as far as I know) Mission, "Left out to Dry" ( I think it's called) in the Desert. It has two parts. One, free some hikers from cells. Two, defeat the Henchmen. So I can free the hikers, and have, and it's green on my mission list. The henchmen are standing around, but I can't target them. They don't attack, they just stand there looking all henchy. If I try to click on them and attack it tells me they are not a valid target. huh? Anyone here about this or experience something like this?
  21. Greetings I was just wondering, and also since Halloween, and the Blood Moon Event is approaching, where are all the children in CO? Has anyone noticed their absence? Instead of Blood Moon, perhaps their could be an attack of Demon-Possessed, Mind-Controlled, Zombie Rug Rats!! Thoughts?
  22. Re: Escapist reviews CO. Yes! I have felt VERY Super-Heroic many times playing CO. Picking up a Truck and throwing it at a distant Crook, Zombie, Alien, Demon, or yes... even a Cowboy Robot, makes me feel heroic. Not to mention then Flying in, fist first, and begin to lay a serious smack-down on whatever unsuspecting mob I choose to unleash my Fists of Freedom on. To be sure, there are a few things that I could quibble about, (sometimes I feel, unless totally out numbered, a little too super-powered) but all in all, I'm having a blast. And I have to say also, having played CoX, this game kicks it's ASCII. Those missions were soooooo redundant I was bored to tears after a week. This game has at least quadruple the number of enemy types, not to mention mission types. Not to mention a PvP element that can be fun (as long as your build doesn't blow). Not to mention it looks far better (and for you non-comic book fans who don't like the outline, you CAN turn it off). The Environments are far more detailed. It is just better.
