  1. Re: Super hero comic That's cool. I found a writer to work with and I wasn't gonna post it on here because this thread was buried pretty deep. I didn't think it would be on anybody's radar anymore. But now that it's here on top again, I thought I'd better mention it. Freeway66 -- If you can land someone to work with through this thread, more power to you! I have no qualms with it! You shoukd actully check out the forums at http://www.digitalwebbing.com and place an ad looking for a collaborator there. Very busy site FULL of VERY creative people. ~e.
  2. I know this is a bit off topic but I put it in here because I'm aiming this at superhero writers (GM's specifically) and I thought that most of the people I want to connect with are in this forum. I am a game illustrator who has done art for many Hero books (as well as a host of others!) and I'm looking for a writer to collaborate with for a comic strip search that Dark Horse comics is hosting. http://www.darkhorse.com/company/newrecruits.php I would like to submit a good, old-fashoned, tights wearing superhero concept or small team. It just needs to have something unique to catch the eye of the publisher. If you think you're up to the challange I'd like to hear from you. Thanks. Erik Roman http://www.portfolios.com/erikroman
  3. I recieved my copies of Pulp Hero in the mail the other day and after looking it over I thought I had to mention that Hugh Vogt's illustrations for the book were really outstanding! The art gives the pulp feel while not being crowded or overworked. His compositions are great and the whole aire of the work is simple, delicate and uncluttered. The character art he did for the Villians was, I thought, especially professional in execution. All the art was great but I thought Hugh's was head and shoulders above the rest. Great Job!! ~e.

  5. The eye logo was another one of those things that I was surprised at when I recieved my comp copies. (as well as the pentagram logo in the same illo!) I was given a written description of it being 'an eye with a snake around it' for the logo. I did what I thought was cool and had NO IDEA that the logo had been designed already and that I just didn't get a copy for reference. The 'Watch' patch on page 69 was what was being used but, again, I was given no reference so what I did by a written description didn't match what was used. I'm glad you liked my work though and hope you get to see more of it sometime in the future. ~e.
  6. Scott! I'm glad you liked my work for your book. It was a blast. I was disappointed that they only used half the art they commisioned from me for the book. In my humble opinion they left out the best pieces. (two of which can be seen at the above link!) I was also disappointed to discover, when I got my comp copies, that there was a new Viper logo used that was never given to me as reference (or even mentioned!) by the AD and I was, instead directed to use the logo designs in the previous Viper book, so mine are the only pieces to use the old design and it looks kinda wierd! All the art for the book was awesome and the writing was really tight as well!! Great job all around and I hope all you players enjoy it!! ~e.

  8. I'll be there, as well, roaming around looking for work. I couldn't miss it with it being the premier of the new Fantasy Hero book! I've gotta see what it looks like. I'll also have my portfolio with me and it has the originals for some of my illos for the upcoming Viper book. I'm looking forward to meeting the hero staff and fans for the very first time.
