Re: Cool Guns for your Games
Don't think I've seen this one in this topic, but I'm not going through all 11 pages to check
"Made from iron bedposts; charge made of pieces of lead from curtain tape and match-heads, to be ignited by AA batteries and a broken light bulb. On May 21, 1984 two inmates of a prison in Celle, Germany, took a jailer as a hostage, showed off their fire power by letting go at a pane of bullet-proof glass, and escaped by car."

Re: World of HEROCraft?
ah thanks.I am confused of this pushback seen it mentioned but what's the mechanic?
According to this thread:
Taking damage while casting spells "pushes back" the casting progress bar, making the cast take longer than stated in the tooltip. -
Re: Mottos for use in games
Okay' date=' now take a deep breath. No one is making you or your friends use that line in your game. Take another deep breath. Say “it’s only a game” repeatedly. Then scroll to the top of the page and realize you are in the [i']Dark[/i] Champions thread. You know, DC, which includes espionage, spies, murderous vigilantes , et cetera. Take another deep breath…And don't forget to keep on breathing. Breathing is always good.

Two ways of putting the same idea:
Better a dead lion than a living jackel.
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Tablemaster is a program for doing table lookups. Instead of hunting through a mountain of books for that one table to roll on, Tablemaster does it for you.

And there's always Narnia. The White Witch is a Planar traveller after all.Indeed, there's the Wood Between Worlds, where there are any number of pools leading to different worlds.

Re: TV to rpg
Anyway, how are you numbering your seasons of Blake's 7? When B7 aired in New Zealand, "Season One" was Episodes 1-26, and Jenna (as played by Sally Knyvette) appeared in all of them.
Each season was originally 13 episodes:
1: 1-13
2: 14-26
3: 27-39
4: 40-52
Looks like you got the first two seasons munged into one.

Re: Naming the baby
To be honest, we shouldn't try and name it. Any abbreviation, name, whatever, will come about naturally. And will be better for it.

Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.
That really is very pretty...

Re: TV to rpg
Jenna Stannis (who never reappeared after the first season)Hello, I'm Korvar, and I'm an Internet pedant...
Anyway, Jenna was in Season 2 (although she sadly had less and less to do), and did appear briefly in Season 3 for a cameo, which established that she was picked up by the same "hospital" ship as Servalan. In the final episode, Blake said she died taking out half a squadron of gunships, but there's a lot of things Blake said that turned out not to be true.
I'm sorry, I just can't help myself...

A lot to be said for "Who Dares, Wins".
Although their unofficial motto is "Train Hard, Fight Easy".

Re: Fantasy Art Thread
That is incredibly cool!
Meanwhile, I've been playing D&D (2e!) again, and done a couple of portraits: my own character, an Adventurer, and the Dwarf Myrmidon, who gets a lot of stick from us because he uses a sword, not an axe or hammer.
"Mother... Father... There's... something I have to tell you ... I use a sword."
"You're no son of mine!"
"Where did we go wrong? *sob*"
I'm thinking of colouring them on the computer at some point, so I didn't want to put too much in with the inks. I inked Connor, pencilled and inked Krugen during today's session. I used some new pens; I probably could have done with using the brush pen, as the line weights are a little bland.
