  1. Oh yes! "Brave Raideen"! Possibly the very first "transformable" robot back in the 70's robot show genre. Better known in the States as "Shogun Warriors". In fact, there was a Marvel comic of the same name that used Raideen, Combattler V (above) and Danguard Ace. Only the mecha designs were used from the source materiel. Nothing else. I loved that comic as a kid. But it's unbearably cheezy now.
  2. I missed that thread. How many points did he say Kreuzritter was? And what did you guys calculate? Did you actually do a character sheet in Hero for him? One thread that I saw before the old boards went down had a Sentinal write-up that I snagged. Boy was he high-powered!
  3. I wouldn't bother charging them with points for the mecha, becasue the Valkyrie mecha are not actually owned by them. I mean, if Hikaru actually went and _bought_ the VF-1S "Skull-1" as military surplus after it had been decommissioned, then yeah, he'd pay the points for it then. But then, the GM could also feel free to impose some disads on the mecha in order to help him afford it in points. Say - maybe take some activation rolls on some systems, since he doesn't have a ground crew to help repair it. Let's face it, military jets are hanger queens at the best of times. And a transforming mecha is insanely complex compared to that. For private ues, you could impose restrictions like that. The reason that the Valkyrie doesn't have "hanger queen" disads and is always ready to go while owned by the UNSPACY is because of the maintenance and ground crew. And Hikaru and Roy _only_ use theirs during missions and under orders. You don't need to stat the disads for a mecha like that unless it becomes an issue. Just my .02 cents.
  4. Ooh! Spiffy! Combattler V and the bladed Yo Yo's of destruction! Don't recognise the two behind him off the top of my head, but they look familiar.
  5. It would be nice to have a conversion system. There are many characters and concepts in SAS that I'd like to see worked up in Hero system terms. But what wouold be the best source to convert from? The tri-stat version or the D20 version? Seems like the D20 version would have a little more "granularity". That might make it easier to 'port to Hero.
