  1. Re: The Rainbow Sisters if you can see it: http://www.webalice.it/dottordivago/appo/rainbow.doc
  2. Okay okay is only a beta version and, probably you ignored this thread but this "supervillainess team" has born inside this forum year ago (one year ago) so if you are interested... http://www.webalice.it/dottordivago/appo/rainbow.doc (sorry... some description are in italian...) (bi-sorry... is a doc version; distiller don't create pdf files and, here is 0:00 o clock )
  3. Re: Tornado Entangle Well... ad 'cause she has an "wind control TK power" she can use them, or build up a new TK power "only to entangle enemies" -1/4 ore -1/2 limitation?
  4. Re: charge for linked powers One moment... i've copied (and adapted) this power from "poisoned knife", pag 195 on FREd this example show "linked" in the more expensive power (only a -¼ limitations) indeed, she can fire dart without poison, but poison is useless without dart
  5. Again: another poison-gadget for Green Poison Supervillainess a "pistol" who fires poisoned dart: Dart-Shooter: RKA 1d6; AP(+½); Beam (-¼), 6 Charge (in 4 clips; -½), No Knockback (-¼), OAF (-1); plus Haemotoxins: 3d6 EB, NND (defense is haemotoxins or zootoxins immunity; +1), Does BODY (+1); No Knockback (-¼), No Range (-½), Linked (-¼), 6 Charge (in 4 clips; -½) the problem is: i muast buy charge for "both" power (i've six dart and six use of poison; when i use a dart i use a poison and like) or i must buy charge only for one of them?
  6. Re: Poison Field yep... my quoting has "cut away" your quotes... So you think that a "spitting cobra" 5d6 EB NND Does Body Reduced Range 2" Gradualk Effect (1 minute) No KB, Restrainable is very very lethal? Okay i'll back to "4d6 EB NND continuing charge 1 min"
  7. Re: Poison Field Yez... this is what i wanted say... i know... some time what i say is not what i want to say... someones call it "linguistic barrier"...
  8. Re: Poison Field Sorry again... okay, i'll by "continuous" for continuing charge but... 5d6 EB NND does body, inflict 5d6 body, or 5d6 stun, and about 5 body? well, idea is that this be scaling... first turn: 1d6 in 1" second turn: 2d6 in 1" and 1d6 in 2" third turn... Is not an attack (she has a dart-shooter weapon with poisoned dart, and a "spitting cobra" poison to attack); sort like a more complex damage field Yes this is the problem; but she does'nt care (i've thinking about making LS ineherent, but to be inherent a power must be always on, and to be always on must be a "disadvantage" to be alway on...)
  9. Re: Poison Field Two possible Poison Field: a) EB4d6, NND (immunity to nerve gas or self contained breathing, +1), Explosion (+1/2), 8 continuing boostable recoverable charges (1 min, +1), No Range (-1/2), Does not work with high winds (-1/4) [70 Active, 40 real] EB5d6, NND (same, +1), Explosion (+1/2), Does Body (+1) No range (-1/2) Gradual Effect (1 min, -1/2), Does not work with high winds (-1/4) [87 Active, 39 real] what do you prefere? NB: neither powers have the "personal immunity" cause she has a Life Support. Immunity to alla Zootoxins, Phytotoxins, Nervetoxins, Nerve Gases and Haemotoxins... (19 points)
  10. Poison: EB or RKA?{was: Re: Poison Field}
  11. Re: Change Environment: what i Can/Cannot do? In the first version, i've used a darknes for the fog and a missile deflection for defensive wind, but in the second version i've preferred all CE powers for this multipower... i tiìhink i'll rebuild back original ones...
  12. Another Villainess, Green Poison as her name says, she's a mistress of poison etc etc she has a "poisonous filed", i mean she can "emits" a poisonous gas field, and anyone in her vicinity is subject to damage i've thinking about building this like a EB (or HKA), with area of effect circular, no range, NND (defense is not breathing or controlled breathing or immunity to animal neurotoxin poison), maybe with continuousor similiar adders. Ah and she has a personal immunity or i can build this with a Change Environment... what do you think is better?
  13. Again, i'm building Wind-Controller-Villainess second multipower: she can control Tornado One power in this multipower is aa tornado who can "block" an enemy inside. I've thinked about an Entangle, but soon i realized that this power is not a standard entangle, caus cannot form barrier, adn is totally transparent (yes i can make this with a normal entangle) but victim cannot "break free" from this tornado inflicting damage to it, only with a strenght feat tecnically, no damage can be done to this "tornado block", but a strong character can break free only with bare muscle... how can i build this "tornado block"?
  14. I'm building a new super villaines: Yellow Monsoon. She has the power of wind control, a multipower formed by all CE: -Strong Breeze can stop enemy missiles (-4OCV) -Gale can slow down enemy (-2" running, -4" flying) -Controlled Light Tornado reduces DEX & DEX based skills (-4), PER rolls (-1) and cause light damage (2 pts round) -Fog cause... fog (-6 PER normal sight and nightvision) all with concentration So what else can i do? what i cannot do? can i build a single CE with all this secondary effect? or can i select what secondary effect apply to my CE? (building only a single CE and not a mulipower)
  15. Well, back from lurking limbo again I'm building this supervillaines, Orange Amber She's a brick, so she's superstrong, supertough, etc She has a permanent density increase, her molecular strubcture is mutated from a crystalline superdurable gem-like amber So i've decided she has a DI with 0 END, Persistent, Always On and Inherent. But seeking in CKC for Black Diamond, i see that she has a very similar history, and she does'nt have "always on" limitation (she does'nt have any DI, i see) but a very high strenght rating, and a physical limitation so where's the matter? I may buy always on on my DI? or i MUST buy DI? or worse, i CANNOT buy Always On if i can build this power with some other means?
  16. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? Oh i understand i've read on UA similar rule, but much more complicated, so i was thinking was same rule btw, i think there's nothing wrong with Hit Points in some genres... and, yes, think that superheroic is ok with HP Of course... Well, i'll try to explain you (sorry but my english is not so "fluid" and may lead to some misunderstanding) IMHO perfect RPG is an Utopia (well, actually think that Hero is very close to perfection;)... but is'nt perfect yet...) "Perfect RPG" is the "best RPG who can create same mood and flavour you want for this game" For example, i like Star Wars d20 (who i own, revised, even with Hero Builders) but i think that WEG's Star Wars, Second Edition Revised & Expanded (a.k.a. "The Ultra-Cool Deluxe Book" in my party )is better. I will not use SWd20, even if i think is a real beautiful game 'cause i think nothing can beat WEG's d6 (luckyly, i can use to compensate with Fading Suns d20 but this is another story...) I think Hero is not for children, but is perfect to create superheroic campaign with lot of "customability", powers, rules not-so-simples-but-suitable-for-mood-and-flavour, etc if i will want a game more "quick" and more "cinematic" but not-so-complex i will use Fuzion (that is free, and someone can call it "a downgraded Hero version"... i like Fuzion very much!!) or even Instant Fuzion (DragonBall Z RPG, that i own, is a perfect example of cosmically powered superheroic with a very simple sistem like Instant Fuzion) If i will want a more quick and less "rulistic" game, i will search for a diceless. Not a d20 system. And not for "racism" or else... only 'cause exist some other system i like much more than d20 system Last, but not least, i think even superheroic genre is not for children, or at least not for "D&D Childish Power Players" (i don't known in america, but in italy about 90% D&D player 15-20 year old are "Childish PP"... (sadly, even older ones )) Put a superheroic system, modular, and not so balanced like superheroic game must be, and Boumm you create a "game" that DBZ is "too storytelling" compared to it... I hope you can understand what i means (and not misunderstand...)
  17. Re: Where Supervillain buy...
  18. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare?
  19. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? I know... M&M are more "Hero-like" and less "D&D-like" I know M&M use a "severity of damge" system. But are you sure that is quicker roll more dice to determine "injuries status" than simply deleting HP or Stun Points? well, you're right
  20. Your supervillain need a superpower? a wolrd devasting weapon? or simply a bunch of loyal zombie henchman? http://www.villainsupply.com/
  21. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? Well this is true a superheroic system with "classes" in a standard fashion is... brrr... hellish... («I'm a brick of 10th/fire blaster 2th and icers 3rd alien... with a prestige class of "uncontrolled eye blaster" of 3rd level») but core mechanics are d20. And AFAIK there's no "speed chart" that really make a BIG difference between superheroic and standard RPG (only for istance)
  22. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? Well... not... Hey i'm not critiquing the system nor the game i'm only saying that IMHO Hero is most powerful system for superheroic RPG, and another RPG cannot overmatch Hero in superheroic and/or "superpowers building" (or at least "hero mode to building superpowers") and i've seen too much system "succumb" 'cause d20 system...
  23. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? I'm thinking about... mainly because FREd is not "easily" used for One-Shots session (i've not possibility to "raise" a campaign or even a "little serie of adventures" for Hero... main possibility for me is using "one shot" session... and building with FREd has proven to be TOO MUCH long and slow... I hope that Sidekicks can be quick(er) to play compatible with FREd (so i may use PC created with FREd)
