  1. Re: Four Color, Silver Age, etc. Defined somewhere? Thanks guys, makes much more sense to me now. I appreciate the responses.
  2. These terms refer to the general feeling, realism or grittyness of the story, right? I've been seeing these terms pop up and am kind of unsure of their meaning. I think I've got 'Four Color' but the others I could use a little help with. Tried to find this info with Google but just found a billion posts from people buying/selling comics.
  3. I'm not the most experienced person here... but why not keep it simple and just buy an endurance reserve that only recovers under certain circumstances. Those circumstances determine how much the limitation is worth. Example: 14 Endurance Reserve (200 END, 1 REC) Reserve: (21 Active Points); Limited Power: Only Recovers When In Contact With Large Keg of Beer (-1/2)
  4. I really think that morse is a KS. Let's assume that a character is highly proficient with english, spanish, italian and morse code. Since morse code is just an alphabet, shouldn't he be able to send morse code in all three languages? Why then, would it make sense to attach it to one specific language?
  5. Okay... just the quote 'cause the circumstances were too odd to believe. "Am I drunk or is that a dancing hotdog on the ice?"
  6. I LIKE the idea of playing a magic VPP this way. The spellbook takes alot of the playing with a book and calculator during the game out of the picture. Also... I agree wholeheartedly that a mental vpp is more limited than a magic vpp. Teleport, desolidification, life support, shape shifting, etc are all things you can't do with a mental vpp but can drop into a magic vpp without blinking an eye.
  7. from my limited experience, heart medication can be either once a day or multiple times a day, depending on what the problem is (irregular beat, high blood pressure, etc.). It can also be on an 'as needed' basis (nitro under the tongue). With the exception of aspirin, the meds would be prescription only and controlled to various degrees. WITH a prescription, most meds can be bought at the neighborhood Walgreens. I'm sure someone will follow my post with more/better info. Something I'd put out for consideration for this type of thing is a highly reduced recovery stat, perhaps coupled with a low endurance.
  8. Don't move the moon! This would cause (at the least) tidal waves, tsunamis, huge electrical storms, imbalance in the earth's rotation, dogs sleeping with cats, and the IRS to declare everyone has overpaid. Mebbie bending light from the sun around the earth (which is what's causing the shadow on the moon in the first place) is the way to go? Or something in space reflecting the light back to the moon? I didn't really have much to add... just wanted an excuse to type the whole "dogs sleeping with cats" thing.
  9. For a specific writeup of this power, would this be legal? SuperIcyMultipower Ultraslot #1: Wall Of Ice - ForceWall - Costs end only to activate - Uncontrolled (melts normally) - Ablative Ultraslot #2: Make It Snow - Change Environment Assuming both powers required all active powers in the multipower, would he be able to create an ice wall or two and have them stick around while he started making it snow? Silly power I know, but just for examples sake.
  10. Hrmm... What I'm looking for is an advantage which will allow it to last for x turns regardless of what else he's doing (unconcious, using mpp for other stuff, driving away in his SuperIcyMobile, etc.). I believe there used to be a 'Duration' advantage which allowed this, without forcing the use of charges. If this advantage was removed because it was overpowering or I'm just remembering incorrectly, then I'll live. If the advantage was reworked or renamed, then I'd appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.
  11. I've spent a couple years away from the Champs system and seem to have gotten rather rusty with the rules. I'm brushing up on 5th ed. stuff and had a question regarding power design I'm hoping for a little help with. What I'm trying to duplicate is a power which creates a fire-and-forget effect that doesn't use charges. Example would be SuperColdGuy uses his SuperIcy multipower to create a wall of ice (using endurance to activate) and the wall of ice sticks around for awhile while he proceedes to use his SuperIcy multipower to make flavored slushies for the neighborhood kids. I know how to do this with charges, but it wouldn't make sense that he can only do this x number of times a day. I'm probably missing something obvious, any pointers are appreciated.
