  1. I Don't know magneto is all about power his overriding belife is that the most powerful should rule. combined with his previous experince of powerlessness in the concentration camps he pretty much perfectly suited to that sort of addiction.

     

    but bringing him back just seemed really pointless its just like they said in he's and irrelevant anacronism dead he was a positive influence on young mutants alive he's just another loon out to destroy the world.

Lets see the artifact was brought to earth by the Roswell aliens who are in fact intergalactic ultra vision producers who regularly visit earth to make "reality TV" hidden camera shows like "galaxies funniest rectal probes" "abductees say the funniest things" and "cattle mutilation super bingo"

     

    Unfortunately these shows are losing ratings so taking a leaf out of earth culture they have decided to spice things up with SUPERPOWERS. The artifact has bonded with the human they selected as there representative on earth Pop Idol’s Simon Cowell.

     

    The artifact grants Simon hisown super powers super sarcasasm ego shattering presence attack duplication he also has the power to bestow super powers on others.

     

    All the governments of earthy must participate generally there are a lot of threats should they renege on the contract you know orbital bombardment that sort of thing and if they go along they get cool alien technology (really its crap from the home shopping network but what do we dumb apes know).

     

    So a random selection of the population get to go on the show are interviewed by super Simon and selected to form part of the super team meanwhile secretly (as in unknown to the human public not the alien viewers who watch who wants to be a super villain.) Simon gets to select those he wants as super villains. after the intergalatic viewer vote takes place Simon grants super powers to the winners tailored to enhance there viewerappeal and they go out to do battle with the forces of evil all the time watched by intangible subspace ultra vision cameras.

    The last 3 issues have been good even if it is just a romeo and juliet rip off.

  4. well if its a mutant solidaity march you can bet they have thare parents partners children and siblinsg along. wouldnt it be intreasting if one of the youngsters expressed there

    X factor right there in the middle of the crowd grew to 60 feet tall and freaked out shot out dangerous eye beams or what have you.

     

    other situatiosn police harressment institute for human advancment counter march. crazy sniper. majopr earthquake during the middle is blaimed on the mutants by religious leaders but CNN has great footage of the more freakish mutanst attending to injured and trapped good for PR

    Here’s one based on a local legend

    Wrym

     

    During the Middle Ages, a young member of the Lambton family chose to fish on a Sunday despite warnings that it was unlucky. On this particular day he caught nothing but a worm and in anger, threw it into the well.

     

    Some years later, while Lambton was away fighting the Crusades, the worm emerged from the well, a huge and ferocious beast. It devastated the land killing all in its path and continued to grow, coiling its massive body around the hillsides. On his return from the Holy Land, the brave young Lambton sought help from a witch on how best to slay the beast, but he was told that if he killed the creature, he would have to slay the very next living thing he met. The worm was killed but sadly, it was Lambton's father who passed by, and the young crusader, unable to murder him, reneged on his promise to the witch and condemned his family to a curse of untimely deaths that continued for nine generations.

     

    Or at least that is the legend with its famous folk song the truth is that each generation has been cursed to forever contain the power of the Wyrm the first born. They gain the power to summon the beast though controlling its might is difficult they also acquire some of its traits formidable strength and speed and the potent sword first used to slay the beast.

     

    Wyrm is the superheropic identity of Richard Lambton the latest in the line still uncomfortable with his awesome responsibility, which he acquired after the tragic Death of his father now trying to come to terms with his powers his place in his families’ legacy as the youngest member of Britain’s premier super team.

  6. This reminds me of Biers a bar in the Terry Pratchett Discworld novels. Where the undead denizens of Ankh Morpork go to be themselves. I think the interesting thing would be the community spirit. I kind of imagine a support group for people who turn into radioactive monstrosities and the people who love them meeting upstairs. Its nice someone you can turn too who has been in the same boat. Its good to have a place where you can find people who know where to go for medical and legal advice after you eat that toxic waste truck.

  7. the best idea i came up with was a secret society of WW2 japanese genrals and the few surviving supervillains who have moved into civilian society politics buissness and the yakuza working on all levels to keep japan great and gain power for there eventual rightful return to dominance over all of the pacific and the world.

     

    think of the danger posed by an organizatioob speasd across all those facets of life combining high tech manufacturing with yakuza theft of materials and street thugs and political protection to keep the investiagations down, media manipulation would keep the whole thing under cover.

  8. I have another sick plot for Teleios I’m considering incorporating into the strange defenders creates a number of subservient clones with pediatricians who then substitute standard child hood immunizations for more insidious concoctions.

     

    The pediatricians monitor the children as they grow and eventually if the process is particularly interesting Teleios may kidnap them to analyze the effects of his process(read imprison, run a huge battery of tests and probably end up with vivisection).

  10. yeah youd want density decrease the greater your mass the slower time moves for you and the faster you move the more mass you have. which is why a massiveobject(not as in big but as in having mass like pretty mcuh everything but photons) can never reach light speed because the harder you push the harder you have to push to get the same effect if you actually reached lightspeed you'd be pushing infinitly hard to move your infinite mass.

  11. i was working on a character with a similar sort of power, he has total control over his personal time flow but a psycological limit about using up his life span at an accelerated rate so he spends large chunks of time in stasis catching up on time spent at 10X or even 100X or 1000X times normal time he also wears a watch that calculates his local time so he can keep in sync with the real world.(sad thing is the accident that has given him his powers has also made him functionally immortal but he doesn't know that yet.)

     

    is there a good way to handle temporal stasis? i considred extra dimensional travel but I think he could still be harmed it would just take a very long time for him to notice the damage.

  12. The problem with nighthawks costume is it makes him less impressive. The silver and black elements conspire to make him look shorter the hawk head also visibly reduces his height and he lacks intimidation via his silhouette.

     

    In comparison batman’s costume is designed to strike fear into the heart of his foes, those pointy ears exaggerate his height making him appear taller the dark tones and the cape disguise his true shape especially in dark surroundings making him a more difficult target and the ears also add to his silhouette intimidation silhouetted or in shadow he looks like a demonic beast easy for criminals to imagine there hunted by a supernatural horror. In comparison nighthawk looks like a duck headed schmuck an easy target who has to prove just how tough he is every time.

  13. Well i'm still learning my way around the system so I decided as my first big project so I could get a really good grasp of the whole thing I'd build all the members of the strange defenders starting with Dr Hel.You can see the strange defenders here!

     

    Unfortunately I’m not to sure about it so far so I could use some feedback, advice and the benefit of the experienced designers wisdom.

     

    Anyway they are all being based on 400 points plus 200 disadvantages

  14. plus the nazis have much nicer uniforms no katanas but nicer uniforms.

     

    this reminds me of my favorite over head conversation whilst staying in a youth hostel in london. i'm sitting reading Harry Potter in the recroom and at the next table some scottish bloke is loudly and slightly drunkenly explaining to two japanese backpackers, how the japanese ate his grandfather during wwII. you just don't get stuff like that in proper hotels.

     

     

    anyway japanese villains either died to the last man or went into buisness and became respectable buisness men or at least seemingly respectable but secretly plotting the wests downfall with thier army of robot ninja. Unlike there nazi colleuges who insist on wearing there uniforms and trying to ressurect the riech every weekend.
