Whine & RosesOriginally, Cheese was with Whine, but she left him (despite Whine's annoying protests) for Ham. That's when whine latched onto Roses.
The Quick & The Dead (I think someone said it already)I picture a speedster lugging around an inanimate, rotting corpse. Part of the grieving process is letting go.

Really? Did she also become cubical?
I was just having a discussion with a few other patrons (one of whom was female, more or less) at my FLGS about women in gaming, but this is something else. Talk about insecure. You already married the guy, lady. How much more possessive do you want to get?

Yeah, Victorville... it's a tough town. I have some family up there. The town motto is "Victorville: Where the Living Envy the Dead."

Actually, I only have 8.

My opinion:
Build the HKA as listed, but without the Reduced END Cost. It's a Focus, so it inherently has no END cost apart from whatever STR will be put behind it to swing it.
Build the No Range AoE (or better yet, IMO, Explosive) EB, and give it the Limitations "Only vs. Demons" at whatever value would be appropriate (-1? -1/2? How often do you fight demons in this game?) and OAF: Sword.
Buy a couple 5-point HTH levels with OAF: Sword.
Done.

Okay, how about phrases that could be duos, but probably aren't?
Such as:
Rock and Roll
Tooth and Nail
Bells and Whistles
...um...
Ham and Cheese?

Gauntlet & Glove: They were a husband and wife team (a brick and a mentalist), and parents to one of my PCs a few years ago.
Smoke & Mirror: In the VCU ; some kinda criminal team. They were never involved in any of my characters' plots (that I know of), so I don't know much about them.
Light & Dark: Less a team than two themed, anthropormorphized "entities," also from the VCU.
Surely someone out there has a duo called Shock and Awe!
El Gallo and El Toro, though... that's great.

Please tell me it involves opium!
I don't usually have any constructive comments to make on these boards, so I content myself with cracking wise.

Well folks, had a flurry of private commissions, and funny timing... two speedsters outta 3 characters. The first two commissions are for JGildea. A champs game (I believe it is Champs), set in the '30s. Here is "Jack".
That is bad-ass. Very nice.

Sorry, I'm fresh out.

It's in the FAQ under Healing (which I've been reading lately, because I've been retooling my regenerating character on an almost-daily basis). Steve's answer is basically, "Yeah, I guess, if the GM says it's okay."

Try cutting the pills in half next time.

If you want to go with that "twinny" feel, how about:
Gemini
Team Gemini
Gemini Squad
Gemini League
N'Gemini
Bacon, Lettuce, and Gemini
Gemini On My Shoulders (Makes Me Happy)
Gee, Your Gemini Smells Terrific
G.E.M.I.N.I. (Get Everyone Mad? I'm No Idiot!)

I almost think of it as a burst of super speed to circle around the opponent, pop to your feet as a zero phase, dodge the undodgeable.
Ah, okay. In that case, it needs to be much more limited, because right now, he can Teleport 4 meters anytime he wants, for any reason, for no END. Things like Only to Vanish When No One Is Looking, Only to Teleport Where Character Could Go Through Normal Movement, and No Noncombat Multiple would be applicable.
Buy lots of DCV.
You might also want to think about getting a HA with Indirect to simulate his ability to strike by surprise-- the "suddenly I'm behind you" ability.
Oh, and pop to your feet as a zero-phase action = Breakfall.

I think Desolid, Only to escape Grabs/Entangles would be better for most of this. I also like HA, AoE: One-Hex Selective to represent the ability to kick a variety of ass on a single Phase. I don't know if I've ever seen a martial artist literally "blink about in combat"-- and I have Volcano High on DVD and Fudoh: The New Generation on tape!
Whoever suggested Flight: Only Straight Line-- I like that one, too.

I'd probably build it with Armor, Only on Left Arm (or right arm, I guess), with most of that bought as Only vs. STUN. That way it's still Resistant vs. KA for STUN purposes, but can take BODY.

The correct power construct is: Entangle, BoECV, Uses EGO, not STR, Takes No Damage From Attack.
To get out of it you must use your EGO like STR. You can also push your EGO in the same way that you can push any other attack.
Uses EGO Instead of STR is what-- an Advantage, right? What's that worth? As it turns out, I'm building something close to this exact power right now.
Whaddya know. These boards aren't just for arguing obscure, petty issues-- they're useful sometimes, too!
-
IMO, it depends on what you're going for. I think a No STUN/No BODY EB is fine for a KB-Only attack, like an instant repulsor beam or something similar. TK seems like it'd be better suited for constant pushing, but an EB is inherently Instant and, to me, better represents a sudden baseball bat-like whack. Without the bat.
-
Hang on. Let fire up the ol' HeroDesigner....
HeroDesigner tells me nothing.
IIRC, No STUN is a -1 Limitation, and No BODY is what, -1/2? At any rate, I think "Knockback Only -1 1/2" is reasonable. In fact, isn't there an example in the BBB under Double Knockback for a character called Tsunami who has a KB-only attack?

Just a YES or NO would suffice for me.
Let me just translate this into the King's English:
Does a Multipower with 4 Charges on each slot receive a Limitation on the Multipower pool cost?
No.
This has been explained and re-explained eight ways from Sunday.
And the reason you can't (normally) have Charges on the Pool and on the Slots is because the implication would be this:
If the Pool has 4 charges, then it can be used 4 times.
If each Slot has 4 charges, then each can be used 4 times.
Therefore, it follows that each time you activate a Slot, you get 4 uses of that slot.
Further, each slot can be activated 4 times, thanks to the Limitation on the Multipower.
In total, you get 16 uses of the Multipower instead of 4, but have taken an overabundance of Limitations to get them. The same effect is granted by only taking limitations on the Slots themselves. The Limitations are simply not Limiting in proportion with the execution of the power. Cheap does not make Right.
Limitations on the Slots do not limit the Pool. What if, instead of each slot having 4 charges, one had 2 charges? Or 8 charges? Or what if only one of the slots had Charges? The number of times the Multipower can be used isn't limited, but the number of times the slots can be used (some of them, at any rate) is.

I'm curious to see it, but I can't think of a reason for me to actually get it. Is there any benefit at all to someone who owns and is familiar/comfortable with FREd?

Buy Sidekick. You're the target audience: people new to Hero. It's custom-made for you, Dr. Octashawn. Forget the big black and green book for now. Go for the friendly blue book.
It's called Sidekick. It's ten bucks. Go buy it.
