Blink-182 is a rock/punk band from San Diego, CA. And I don't mean like REAL punk... I mean soft-core 90's mainstream-style punk. Hard drums and guitar licks. You'd recognize a few of their sings, I'm sure.

Actually, I could have asked Steve directly but just thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else thought. I was curious to see the different angles people would take on it. And this is more of a "how-to" than a rules question, so it wouldn't be appropriate for the Rules Board.

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone. It seems like +1 is the most proper level for the AoE Advantage. And I was reminded that I need to give the power Personal Immunity or Hole in the Middle. I'm leaning more towards Hole in the Middle though. Do I need to buy an extra inch of AoE Line to make it a total of 13 inches even though the hex of effect is going to be nullified by HitM?

I'm not so sure it is technically possible to have hexes to your left and right, while you have a hex directly in front of you! Take a good look at a hex map.

 

This is one of the things that annoys me about hex maps!

Well, I said in the original post, "...fires in the four hexes in front of him, the four hexes to his left (the left hex facing) and the four hexes to his right (the right hex facing)." By "facing" I meant the line of hexes 60 degrees to the left and right. I know that there's no line of hexes directly to the left and the right and fortunately this power is not designed to go out at 90 degree angles.

No it's named after some spanish settler/conqueror or something. The neighboring city, Benicia, is named after his wife.

No hard rockers, sorry. If anything, hip hop is most popular music in town.

The commute time is actually better than where we lived before by about 15 minutes. The average one waytrip is about an hour.

A character I am working on has a weapon that, when fired, fires in the four hexes in front of him, the four hexes to his left (the left hex facing) and the four hexes to his right (the right hex facing). To create this effect, I built it like this:

Thunder Beam: Energy Blast 6d6, Area Of Effect (12" Line; 4" forward, 4" right, 4" left; +1) (60 Active Points); No Range (-1/2), 12 Charges (-1/4)

I'm not sure if this is even legal or built right. Any thoughts?
