  1. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

OK after spending the better part of a weekend making up my version of a "Stornverse" file, I want to know if Death Tribble has a website with all the Stornpics that have been removed posted so I can steal...er borrow them.

Stornverse? What is this? Are you creating characters for all the Storn pictures you can find? If so do you have Troll? I found him in the free download from DrivethruRPG; in the M&M book Villainomicon! (At least it was free when I got it :-)) I don't think I can post him, but I see no reason why I can't tell you where to find him. I don't think he ever made it to this thread; but I think he is one of the bettter Storn pictures I just stumbled onto.

  2. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

Aw man, I love you guys! Thatès the coolest idea Iève seen in a while and I may need to steal... er, pay homage to the idea if I ever get a game going...

That gets me thinking. Who out there has used these pictures besides the one who asks Storn for the images. As one who is getting close to my 25th commission from Storn, I feel safe saying I have "borrowed" some of DT's images for use in my campaign. I would see someone else using my images as a compliment and I must admit, I am a little curious how they are used. Who knows someone might have a better build than I have :-)

  3. Re: Enemies for Teen Champions game

You know, I find that Steve's Alchemy of Love E-Module is great for Teen Heroes. I have also just finished writing a module called Wheel of Destruction that stars Black Harlequin. I find him to be a great supervillain, but to weak to stand up to normal supers (without 'toys'). Wheel of Destruction is based off the old Batman and Joker DC module from Mayfair Games by the same name.

I would be happy to share it, if you just email me. Also I have built it to be used with Maptool http://rptools.net.

  4. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

Here is something that recently happened to me. Someone from LSU contacted me about using my Character, Bengal Tiger for his power point presentation. He is training leaders for Chi Alpha Campus Ministry. He found the image on my webpage. I was imppressed that someone actually looked at my webpage. I talked to Storn and got his permission for Bengal Tiger to be used. I thought I would show everyone how Bengal Tiger is going to be used.

  5. I loooked on page 272, but I am still confused. I believe if the power is bought uncontrolled and is worth 50 active points. The power can remain up and free the VPP for the next phase, as long as 5 END is spent every phase to keep it up, but as regard to armor. How much END does it use every phase to remain up? Armor does not cost END if I am correct.

  6. Re: Who supplies Millennium City's Underworld?

Wayland Talos looks like a great supplier thanks Hermit.

Now for my second questions. Besides Hazard Can people give me about 4-5 other villains/heroes with the power Luck?

My villain plans to get a high-tech device that steals luck from others and transfers it to the device owner.

    Thanks

  7. For an up coming campaign plot I will be running, I need a supplier of Ironmongery and gadgets to the underworld. Does anyone know of any that operate in Millennium City? I need someone who will sell high tech gadgets without to many questions. I know of Daedalus from Predators, but he operates in Hudson City. I could move him, but I thought I would ask if anyone knows any that operate in Millennium City, also where I can find their stats.

    Thanks

  8. As I do with all my villains, I wait for Storn to finish drawings of them before I write them up. The same is true for Shard. I would like to ask for help with a few of his powers, I am having trouble thinking how to make some of his powers work, and I can think of no better place than these discussion boards, so here goes.

First I would like him to have missile deflection versus light based attacks, how would I do it so that he doesn’t have to use an action. Since his body is made up of glass this power should be instant and not require an action, how should this be bought?

Second, I am considering giving him the following power: Like Hitting Glass; Killing Attack- Hand –to –Hand 2d6(3d6 w/STR), Reduced Endurance (O END, +1/2), Persistent (+1/2), Damage Shield (offensive; +3/4) (82 active points). If I am correct with the damage shield having the advantage Offensive, he can use the damage shield as an attack, as well as anyone hitting him taking the damage. I am correct? I am trying to represent that he is made up of a broken glass, and people will be cut if they hit him or are hit by him.

Third, since he is composed of Glass, I think he would sound like glass breaking when he walks; makes stealth rolls impossible for him. To represent this I am thinking of doing a Disadvantage: Physical Limitation: Sounds like Breaking Glass When He Walks; +2 to PER rolls to hear him. (All the Time, Greatly Impairing). Any thoughts on this? How would other people represent this?

I would apprentice any help people can give.

  9. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

These last two are exceptional. Shard is definitely scary, and Greyhound's pose is quite different from what we usually see. Nice work.

I am worried that if The Doctor sees these, that we'll be meeting both of them in our game.

I am impressed you reckonized Shard. If your GM does use them, I would be curious on how he writes them up.

  10. I would like to ask a question. I am preparing to run a battle in an airplane at say about 2000 feet in the air. My question is knowing how players can be problem causers, what would happen if they rip a hole in the side of the plane? How would I represent the differential in pressure? Would a TK STR work? If so how much? At least until the pilots can get the plane down to a safer distance. I would think that would take at least three turns. The pilots are normal after all. What type of rule would apply? And what have other GM's done in similar instants?

I would like to think that the most common way they would make a hole in the plane would be with knockback

  11. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

    And a enigmatic wind/ice/cyrokinetic

Actually his power is based on the coldness of night. He has both darkness and cold powers.

And yes the other one is based off Mammoth. I really thought he should of made it to 5th ed.

  12. Re: Finding Players...

Two weeks ago I signed up with his group. What am I not enough?:idjit:

    LOL

I am an hour away and thought I would give it a shot. Next game session will be my first time there. Provided I don't get lost in Detroit. My car only goes that far north for casinos.

  13. Re: Storn Art from idea to Full Picture Year 5

This was an entry last year from Ockham’s Spoon

Shard: A guy whose body is the center of a dimensional fracture, making him resemble a person constructed of shattered stained glass loosely held together by some force field so that they appear to be floating in transparent jelly. He is very hard to hurt since the pieces just move aside when hit by most attacks. Shard himself attacks by punching (AP HTH or HKA) or throwing bits of himself (AP EB or RKA) which teleport back to place after the attack. He moves by exploding into a thousand pieces and reconstituting himself someplace else (T-port).[

I like this idea. I might have Storn do it for me.

Greyhound: Speedster. Like his namesake, he is long and lean. His costume is a cowled body suit, with the cowl suggesting a dog's head. The mask lenses are mirrored. His suit has reinforced areas everywhere bones are near the surface (hips, joints, etc), as well as at the shoulders. The main suit color is a medium gray. The reinforcements resemble pieces of tire in texture and color (and they may be). His boots are built up, with thick soles and extra ankle support, to withstand the stress of running at high speed. He carries a short, thick truncheon in his right hand, just over a foot long. (It's made of heavy solid rubber, so it gives when he whacks someone with it at high speed. This is to protect him more than the other guy.) His features are coarse and gaunt

This is another great idea. Of the ones I have seen on this thread, all are great character concepts, but I think these two are two of the ones that would challenge Storn the most.

  14. :help:Does anyone know of a mutant organization that is willing to hire assassins to kill anti-mutant politicans? I need it for an advernture I am deveopling. I know I can always create my own, but I was wondering with the rich history of the Champions world if anyone knows of one that exists.

I know Holocaust is very pro-mutant, but I am looking more for an organization than an individual. Some group willing to go to extremes for their beliefs.
