I like the character concept.

I have one question though, these fetishs or charms do they only work for him or the person he gives them to. Or could an opponet who had the appropriate skills steal one and use it for himself?

Since gesture basiclly means the character has to make some kind of visible and noticable movement with hands or arms to activate the power the touching of the runes with a finger in a complex pattern has to be noticeable to anyone nearby, like casting a magic spell.

You couldn't put your hands behind your back and touch the runes,(by memorizing the feel of each rune) or by pressing it against something while bound.

So you might want to rethink gestures.

At least this is the way i remember gestures, i don't have my book with me, so if i'm wrong sombody just chime in.

I agree it will only cause problems in the long run.

I have known a couple of players in my 20 years that would have loved that idea, (of course one of them would have still complained about not getting enough experience) and none of them are members of the current group I game with.

But if you like the idea and the rest of the group agrees with it, go ahead and use it. But make sure it is available to all characters and remind them that when they face a group of villans built without said rule not to complain if they get there A***s kicked.

Of course thats just my opinion.

I have a couple of older characters, who might work one was Holocaust and the other was Meltdown if I can find them i'll post them....... no gaurantees they are correct though.

If you want to do some conversions, you might want to take a look at Blood & Guts, Modern Military, by RPG Objects.

It has plenty of stuff on basic and advanced training, along with equipment.

Just a thought.

I don't see the problem with keeping track of END. You have a set amount, you reduce it on a scrap piece of paper each time you use a power that requires End, then add a amount back equal to REC. Wheres the problem, Its as easy as keeping track of STUN.

Paladin would change things back to the way they should be, no matter the cost personally.

Black Dragon on the other hand would fix things back to normal, and then track down Travellar and beat the tar out of him. Because 9 out of 10 time Travellar would be involved in causing the mess in the first place.

It helps to buy the skills that are not absolutly vital at the familiarity level. And raise them later with xp. Also helps if the GM can give you a list of everyman skills for the campaign.

Most of my games i've run lately are just small games lasting two or three sessions, I ran a fantasy campaign that lasted about 18 months and that was playing once a week. I think I got sorta burnt out by the end of that, thankfully currently my group has at least three GM's counting myself and we all are running in the same campaign world so its a lot easier not having to have something ready all the time.

Well Monster I agree with you on trying to make Hero the No1 system out there. But none the less I think I'll keep my books from other RPG systems. I agree with Thia on that one, once in a while it is fun toi take a short break from Hero and play something different.

My first and favorite was the Archer. It was the first Mech my character recieved, and was still going when we finally ended that campaign all be it a lot revised.

Even with super powers, unless they were on some incedibly high cosmic level, you wouldn't be able to make much of a dent in the worlds problems.

So I would stick to my normal life and hopefully live a full and rewarding life.

Since the character is a NPC I don't see any problem with buying the stats down some, but i don't think I would go below 5 as mentioned above.

Accidental change in intense magnetic fields would work well as some of the others mentioned.

Though I do have a some questions, what are the nanobots made of? If they have some amount of ferrous metal in their composition will they be drawn toward the source of the magnetic field? And once a hunted finds out about this disadvantage he will be very easy to capture and confine, which could be useful as a hook to get PC's involved in a game.
