  1. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Thanks very much, Robo
  2. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Hey Legatus, I just noticed the Animated Style New Watch (after recieving your pvt). I think they came out ok, considering the retraints of the prgram itself. Aquanaut looks great, as does Mindblaze. Thanks
  3. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Great work there Corven Ren. I think Gravity Girl came out best. Bubba, I don't have a Ninja Cow website... yet. I hope to have one very soon though. Legatus, whenever you're ready mate
  4. Re: MancerBear's Art Den That's not bad at all Legatus. Thanks I've had a look at that little program, and really couldn't get my head around it. Is there any chance you might give the other members of the Watch a go?
  5. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Admittedly Legatus, I'm not as happy with her right hand as I could be, but apart from that I think she come out okay. Cheers,
  6. Re: MancerBear's Art Den You're very welcome Tribal. Here's another member of the Young Impossibles, Gravity Girl. The second child of the Mr Impossible and Gravity Woman, Gravity Girl is also twin sister to Tomorrow Girl. Gravity Girls powers are almost identicle to her mothers, that being the manipulation of localized gravity fields. Unlike her mother, Gravity Girl is also able to distort gravity at a sever angle around her, bending light and effectively rendering herself invisible. She is also able to fly, and create gravitic force objects. The Impossible Kids wear the same costumes their parents did, made form Psychomorphic Molecules invented Mr Impossible. As the second child, Gravity Girl wears the her mother's costume which bears the number 2. Cheers,
  7. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Thanks very much guys. The player loves him as well. Tribal, it really depends. If it's a pose I've not done before, or I'm having problems with, I'll use reference, otherwise I won't. Let me just say though, that there's nothing wrong with using reference material in your own work. It's how we all learn how to draw anyway. Something my highschool art teacher once told me really bears repeating. "If people shouldn't use reference, you might as well hide everyone in a cave when they're born and they can start by inventing the wheel themselves." A bit harsh, but I get what he's saying. All artists use reference, it's how you get things right, by looking at them in real life, by looking at how they appear in photgraphs, and by seeing how other artists draw the same thing. If we had to reinvent the wheel everytime we wanted to build a car, most of us would still be walking Hope that helps ya out.
  8. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Hi Guys, Here's the first drawing from the Young Impossibles. Inspired by Shinobi's Cricket, Bug Boy bounces through the streets of Federation City, meeting out justice, apprending criminals, and trying to find time to finish his homework. The pose I based off one of Spidey from Ultimates 3, #2, with a few changes as such. Cheers,
  9. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Hi Guys, I'd like to introduce the newest character in the New Watch. This is Polestar, who will be making his debut in my campaign this Sunday night. As you've probably guessed, he's a Green Lantern homage, though the Polestar Corp do not use any devices for their powers, but are actually imbued with them at thier origin. Enjoy,
  10. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Thanks very much guys, I'm glad you liked the art. Cheers,

  14. Re: To all the artists on the boards Hi Tribal, I too prefer the old fashioned style of inking, but I colour all my work on the computer. The tablet has really helped with that, and touching up inking mistakes too I use Photoshop, and then layers, normally one for the inks sitting on top of everything else and set to multiply, then under that, from the bottom up, I have the flats, the shadows, and the highlights. Above those, and somtimes above the inks, I have a few special effects layers. There are a heap of tutorials on the net to look out for, and they are really helpful. Good luck, and let us see your work Cheers
  15. Re: Champions the Comic Truely sucks that they're only available to residents of the US... ah well, we poor plebs from the rest of the world should be getting used to that by now.
  16. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Thanks very mcuh guys. Well, it's running a tad late, but it's getting there... Here's a sneak peak at the cover for Shut Up & Drive With luck, it will be released in time for Christmas. Cheers,
  17. Re: MancerBear's Art Den To be honest with you Darkfire, I haven't thought of that. I'd have to get permission from the players first. Good idea though Cheers,
  18. Re: Is it really so wrong? This is a great idea... I really love it. Sounds perfect for my Teens game... I think I'll have to use that Weldun Cheers,
  19. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Thanks Darkfire. The woman in that picture is Sir Kendrik's wife, Lady Elanor, pregnant with their first son. The campaign ran for 3 years approximately, but covered a span of 10 years game time.
  20. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Personally, I think this is fantastic... it has a feel of the 60's about it for some reason, like from an episode of an English series like Department S, or the Champions Cheers,
  21. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Hi guys, In an attempt to increase my posts I thought I'd show some of my fantasy work... These are from a campaign I ran a few years ago. I have very fond memories of it, but alas, all good things come to an end. First off, my favoruite character, Sir Kendrik... And his close friend, confessor, and sometime critic, Father Arton... Kendric's best friend, which occasionally caused a few few problems for him, Callin the Rogue... An occassional player whose character eventually became an NPC, Halbaen the Harper... And lastly, the pagan wizard Serena Cheers,
  22. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Thanks for all the replies guys. So afer this one, I only have 2 posts to go Cheers,
  23. Re: MancerBear's Art Den It's odd, cause when I click on my own little scales, I'm told that I have 57570 rep, but no sign of it elsewhere... very odd. Darren
  24. Re: MancerBear's Art Den What I don't understand is why I can't see my own rep power?
  25. Re: MancerBear's Art Den Okay Guys, Just played an awesome game with my neices, and was inspired to draw their main protagonist tonight when I got him. I think he came out okay for a quick pencil sketch Here's the Rubbish Man Cheers,
