  1. Ever since the release of our tome-like 5th Edition Revised Edition, people have joked about its alleged bullet stopping properties. At conventions, on the web, around family dinner tables, and in the streets of America people have poked fun at the volume’s size, density, and overall gravity. Yet no one has been was willing to sacrifice his or her own beloved copy to answer the pressing question: Can ReFred actually protect you from deadly physical attack? So in the interests of public safety the staff of Hero Games took it upon themselves to uncover the scientific truth behind this controversial urban legend.

High in the desolate mountains of Northern Nevada, surrounded by endless miles of sagebrush and blowing sand, lies the secret isolated facility known as the Hero Games Warehouse. It was in this harsh and uncompromising environment that a variety of secret tests were performed to determine the protective capacities of our product. Although these results were never intended for public consumption, renegade office manager Tina Walters successfully smuggled a rough copy out past the facility’s security, through the magic of 4 wheeled gas powered crafts and cyberspace..

You are about to witness those results

  2. Re: Hero Needs Reviewers!!

I started reviewing books on RPGNet because I too felt that Hero didn't have a large enough presence on the site. Generally what I want to say on a topic gets covered by others, but I felt there was a gap in Hero stuff. My reviews don't get much in the way of direct comments on-site, like most Hero reviews, but I feel I'm doing some good, and I like to write, so what the hell.

These are my reviews to date. I'd be quite happy to do more, but I had decided to only cover recent books that I managed to pick up shortly after release. I own plenty more :)

In any case, thanks for the generous offer, and I hope I make the cut. Either way, I'll keep reviewing.

You are in email me you address and I'll put you on the Dark Champions list

    heh...people have real addresses?

You should have it on file; you've sent me a contract and check before, and of course goodies from the online store...it would be under "Ed Hastings".

Ill send it to you in a PM as well :D

I didn't know your real name silly :) I have it all now though. Thanks

  4. Re: Got my 'damaged' books today...

It's a shame there weren't damaged copies of Gadgets and Gear and Crooks' date=' Kooks, and Cookie Monsters (I can't remember the title, but you guys know what I mean). I probably would've bought those in addition to the 5 books I already ordered.[/quote']

Like Steve said. Our stock is always changing. What were out of now, can change tomorrow.

  5. Re: Hero Needs Reviewers!!

Well, we'll leave that up to y'all -- we don't want to make it seem in even the slightest way that we're pressuring anyone to review certain products. From our perspective the best ones tend to be (a) recent products (ones released within the past six months or so), and (B) "core" products that tend to sell fairly well for a long time (the core rulebook, the genre books, "resource" books like the Ultimates and USPD, and so on).

But really, review what you wanna review! :hex:

    Yeah, what he said.

  6. Re: Hero Needs Reviewers!!

    Hmmm.....

I used to review 3e products on EN World for awhile, but that was back when it was still Eric Noah's little community and not the monster it is today.

I could probably review some products time permitting, but am leaving for a European vacation in a couple of weeks and will be OOC for a while.

If you're still offering this when I get back Ill do it.

We are always offering this. I just decided yesterday to annouce that fact that I was unhappy with our current slackers and then Darren started the thread for me. We now have 4 new reviewers (thanks guys) and I will be paying close attention to how many reviews we get. Slackers will be put on hold if they don't put out ;)

    Hello.

I am one of the Moderators over at EN World's review site and I just wanted to stop by and let you all know Hero Games has been added to our publisher list here:

    http://www.enworld.org/reviews/index.php?sub=yes&where=publist&which=Hero+Games

Anyone can add products to the list there though none are there now. I'm actually very happy to see some Hero and other non d20 products reviewed there. If there are any questions or comments about the EN World review site please feel free to e-mail me at cgath@insight.rr.com

    Thank you

    Thanks bunches Crothian,

    T.
