    Assistance Needed

Re: Assistance Needed Try this link...you could easily just plug your concealed room/s wherever you want into the floor plan you like. http://contemporaine.epagecity.com/site/epage/11543_395.htm If those don't thrill you, do a google search for: penthouse+floor plans Best thing about these kinds of black-and-white downloadable images is that all you have to do is resize the image to 1"=2m scale, paste it over a grayscale hex map, and you're in business.
  4. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange Yes, there is a key...and a base sheet. I'll get 'em posted here, but I'm not at home right now.
  5. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange Here are some more counters... Alien invaders and their human-mimicking robot minions. Each one is recognizably different from the others in color and/or orientation. You can makes your players keep track visually of which one has the "mega-bomb."
  6. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange The link doesn't seem to work...think you could troubleshoot it?
  7. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange Excellent....just the sort of thing I think GMs can use.
  8. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange Here's the map for the HQ in my supers campaign. It's the top 3 stories of a skyscraper in Manhattan. The base is basically built around an enigmatic, indestructible, immovable arch they found in-game that can serve as a gateway to other worlds. (It's in the big vault at the center of the Admin. Level.)
  9. Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange Excellent... Let's get it rollin'.

  11. Not sure if something like this exists, but it would be cool if we GMs could help each other out and post stuff on a thread for other storytellers to use as props and the like. This could also serve as an "ask and maybe somebody has it" type of resource... Suggestions... COUNTERS I have a bunch of counters I made with Photoshop for my game...anybody who likee can use 'em. They're the little-square-head-shots-with-the-arrows-pointin'-up variety of counters. I like to use them at 1/2" square though, unlike the typical 1"...reflects the scale of the game map a little better. You can actually fit a couple of guys in the same hex in combat. It's easy enough to convert the scale if you like them bigger. I'll include a sample of one sheet. MAPS I keep handy an expanded version of a "blank" grayscale hex map that I got off of the free stuff on this site. Any map with blank floor space is easily resized to scale and pasted over this for printing at the local Kinko's. I would love to be able to browse maps that other people have created or found of cool stuff like buildings, parks, famous spots, etc... DOCUMENTS Y'know...stuff for clues and a hint of realism...fake newspaper articles, dossiers for spy games, treasure maps... 'PUTER FILES If you ever made a cool database or bit of shareware that can be used for hands-on game-playing...like when players use their puter skills to search for clues... Dunno...you guys can come up with better, I'm sure.
  12. Re: an update on my Centennial City Superhero team I've found that an easy trap to get into in naming characters is the presumption that they have to have names that advertise their special effect. Not every Spanish fire-guy has to be named some Spanish synonym for "fire." Pretty soon, you'll have guys with names like "El Caliente." Try looking in a Spanish/English dictionary for terms that mean other aspects of the guys' personality or motif. Is he a scary anti-hero? Try "punisher." Is he a Dudley Do-right type? Try "justice" or "hero." Is he mysterious? Try "mystery." You get the idea. Few of the characters in my game have names like Iceman, and I like it like dat.
  13. Re: Superhero Images Good point, Mags...I'll remove the stuff on this thread when I get a few minutes tonight.
