Masks. According to people who have seen their live shows' date=' they recruit two kids from the audience, and then bring them backstage where they are dressed up in mini-Adam and Jamie costumes. Then they bring the kids back out onstage to play a prank on another audience member.[/quote']

I'm relieved. For a moment there, I wondered if they were going after cloning myths - and there is just no way that could end well.

I'm guessing Ken's "workout buddy" from the gym who had the bad luck to get caught in flagrante delicto with him when Barbie made an unannounced trip home to the Malibu Dream House one afternoon.

Take another look. Just realized myself - there are THREE bodies there.

Three torsos, anyhow. One on the table, two on the floor - one partially over the other.

I don't usually post in creepy pics' date=' but I just couldn't find anyplace else for this: [b']AXE-CRAZY BARBIE!!![/b]

Always figured it had to happen sooner or later. That Ken dude was no damn good for her at all.

  4. Re: Destroy Your Geek Cred!!

I don't use or have any interest in Facebook or Twitter (noting that this one seems to have cropped up a lot here).

I like all of the Trek series. Yes, all of them.

Never watched ANY Doctor Who. Ever. Nothing against the show or its fans, just the way things turned out.

I think "old" BSG was infinitely better than nuBSG. Yes, the former was incredibly cheezy, but the latter was ... I won't say it.

I think H Beam Piper was one of SF's greatest writers, but so far haven't read any of his 'Fuzzy' books / stories (which arguably are what he is most famous for).

There are a lot of SF "classics" that I haven't read.

I don't ####ing care if Han shot first, last or anywhere in between.

I thought Neelix was an okay-ish character, and my feelings about Jar Jar Binks were strictly neutral.

I think Stanley Kubrick was grossly overrated as a moviemaker.

    Totally uninterested in LARPing.

I liked the 'League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen' movie, but never read the comic.

Zero interest in Undead-related entertainment (except for some of the stuff where Milla Jovovich or Kate Beckinsale kick ass).

White Wolf games make good firelighters.

Have neither watched nor read nor played A Game Of Thrones.

  5. Re: "Neat" Pictures

That's because it's no longer Christmas!

But seriously, Merry is often excluded in renditions of Eowyn and the Witch King, so that's no surprise. Then again, maybe Hobbit stealth is keeping Merry hidden from view.

I'm guessing, in that pic, Merry is hiding under / behind the improbably long cloak that Eowyn is dragging around. Enough room there to hide a Hobbit or two, easy.

Well' date=' it would explain the Emperor's well-known aversion to gods, especially ones starting with N- and ending with -yarlathotep. It would CERTAINLY explain some of the utterly boneheaded things he did between the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy. Exactly how drunk WAS the Emperor when he refused Angron permission to save his fellow slaves?[/quote']

I'll leave those questions to the philosophers.

'Vote McGinty For God-Emperor - Because You KNOW It Can Be Worse.'

  7. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Well' date=' the space marines had to get that superhuman genetics from somewhere... and there's no way McGinty's tolerance for certain organic poisons is natural...[/quote']

Now THAT raises a truly frightening possibility.

Consider that the genuine story about WH40K's God-Emperor is buried under so much propaganda as to be downright unrecognizable. So, can we be sure who is REALLY in the Golden Throne?

    Could it be .... McGinty?

Fast forward to when McGinty emerges. The entire Inquisition perishes from cranial explosions when they read 'The Book Of McGinty (Complete Edition)'. Millions of other Church Adepts suddenly discover that 'Alcoholism' is now a required Talent for them. The Adeptas Sororitas struggle to learn the 'Trade (Go-Go Dancer)' skill. And the Ruinous Powers finally decide "Sod this" and run away screaming.

And, for me, the horrifying thought is that, given how bleak and incredibly dystopian the WH40K universe is, all this might actually be an improvement.

  8. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Better yet, they could start a crusade in the name of St. Brendan's (Irish Whiskey)...

but they'd have to fight off McGinty's descendants at the same time (a Herculean

task under the best circumstances, to say the least).

    Major Tom 2009 :eg:

Given McGinty's progress in CoC, I expect that his WH40K descendants will be people that the Ruinous Powers try to avoid and don't like talking about.
