  1. Building a group of assassins. They aren't overtly powerful except that they are all exceptionally skilled at their particular murder weapon of choice (except for one who is a brute thug) and skilled at evasion. None are super powered but extremely dangerous.

    So far I only have:

Gershwin: a Strangler who uses a garrotte.

Otis: a brute force thug who beats people to death with his fists.

Lily: a sly seductress who poisons people and sometimes resorts to throat slitting.

    One Eyed Jack: a sniper

Howie: a sweeper. Basically the Punisher

Wire Twins: Demonic Cenobites. Not physically powerful but they never work alone. Yes, I stole them from Hellraiser.

  2. I've had that issue before. Had a quirky detective guy once who had a lot of required stats and skills and minor powers but after I bought it all he turned out to be very weak in combat.

  3. Hey all. I run games every night now with multiple groups as well as solo and duo team ups with varied villains. I'm going to slowly bring them all together culminating in one major slobber knocker at the end. We've decided to take a break for summer and I can think of no other way to end it than to go out with a bang.

Basically the powers of Heaven and Hell have decided to end life on earth because we have become too unruly and unpredictable. They will be fighting undead, demons, cenobites and even angels. One of the characters is a priest and will have his powers stripped because he decides to defend humanity from the forces of Heaven. He will go through a period of point loss after which he can redesign his character or keep it the same (plus a few bonus points for being a good sport and going along with the story. I have 23 players plus an extra GM and some temporary players who will run villains who have joined forces with the heroes.

My question is... Is 2 GMs enough to handle this? Also, any input is welcome.

  4. 4e

A character in our group is a steampunk/clockwork scientist and he wants to build a gadget that stops and/or slows time in an area. I'm not seeing it covered anywhere in the rules unless I've overlooked it. How is this best achieved?

  5. I didn't find an answer to this in my search and was hoping you folks could clue me in. I'm using 4e rules and it states that a duplicate has all the powers and abilities of the original character...does that mean each dupe can create more dupes? The rules dont mention anything about it but it would seem only fair because other powers are duplicated.

    Help a guy out.

  6. New character:

Pooky the Clown is a criminal with a heart of gold. He robs banks, richly people and jewelry stores but never poor people or small businesses. He never uses lethal force and gives most of his loot to charity. He seems more untested in having fun with his heists than with personal gain. He has even been known to aid heroes from time to time particularly if they are going up against really vicious criminals and will always keep children safe.

He is sort of like a light hearted Joker combined with the likes of a professional wrestler, Bugs Bunny, the Cowardly Lion and Curly from the Three Stooges and he uses a lot of surprise items that seem to come from nowhere. He's a very complex character but is a *normal* human.

I'm asking input on abilities, stats, props as well as disadvantages. In working with4e rules.

  7. I'd say you're right to cringe. Is this a PC-Villain game, maybe? No true hero would use an attack like that (none of mine anyway).

No but its a slightly edgy campaign where death is a realistic possibility. The player has already stated that their character would be loathe to use the ability only in the most dire circumstances. Thanks for your input.

  8. Got a character who wants to use crap lying around and items being in the right place at the right time. Like shoving the opponent in front of a bus that just happens to be driving by. Or a bare electric cable that just happens to be there. Help me out with this.
