  1. Thank you all for the replies I appreciate everyone's help. I'll work with him on some of these suggestions and let you all know what worked best afterward ❤️
  2. Hey all. The former user of this account is my dad. He lost a lot of his sight and it's hard for him to type or read on the computer. With his limited vision, he may be able to use Hero Designer still if there was some way to turn on a "dark mode" so the light doesn't hurt his eyes too much. Either that or if there was a way to increase the font size on the program or something. This would help him still make and play Champions characters. Does anyone here know any ways I could help him see hero designer again?
  3. This is very rough but started throwing all the ideas together to see what it looks like. Eventually would be nice if it could be used to randomly produce a disaster
  4. This is great stuff and will be useful because it looks like I will have to make my own. Was hoping someone made one already or there could have been one in one of the books. Do you think there are enough broad categories, or should it be delineated further?
  5. Is there something like this worked out somewhere already? I need it because one of the characters in my game interact constantly with these events
  6. This seems like a great suggestion. Thank you
  7. If I was going to only buy a single book after the Champions Complete 6th edition, what should I get?
  8. In the end I am just looking for clarification because in 6e p137 under Changing Speed it seems to suggest that everyone acts at SPD 2 in non-combat situation which seems a little odd to say even with the explanation given but I obviously have the wrong idea about what SPD stat represents so, just for clarity does going out of combat lower your SPD to 2?
  9. 6e seems to say if you decide to move non-combat you act as SPD 2 only applying your movement to 2 segments a turn. I feel I have to be missing something there.
  10. What I am having trouble finding is where the older rule said a character can move every segment out of combat but 6e seems to say something completely different
  11. Not sure what happened to the rules between 5th and 6th, but I can't find a clear explanation in 6th edition. Old rule use to say anyone out of combat can move every segment but have major penalties to ocv and dcv. It's been 20 years so I can't quote them verbatim, but I was looking for something similar in 6th edition.
  12. is it correct If someone 1d6 aid stun to a wounded target for 6 points then the target takes 6 points of stun damage would it come off the aid first so there won't be 6 points to fade?
  13. I think I was unclear. Couldn't someone use Aid to heal consumable stats? If so, wouldn't Aid have the same restrictions as Healing?
  14. Reading Healing power, it states it can only restore a stat to its maximum effect once a day but when I read the other adjustment powers it seems as if they don't have this limitation, Is this true?
  15. Went with range, telescopic, penetrative and rapid with the limitation only into disaster zones on those modifiers and it does everything he wants. He gets lots of data about things that are going on in a Disaster area. I am really liking this character. Thank everyone for the input
  16. So, what I would need to generate the effect is Range/telescopic, penetrative, on whatever discriminatory sense with a limitation on the modifiers of Only in Disaster areas. Thats nice. Thanks for the input
  17. You mean Detect Disasters -11, range, discriminatory, analyze? Player is wanting to sense whatever is happening in a zone classified as a disaster. This was my first thought of how to do that.
  18. What type of detail you think a character can produce using Sense Disasters with Discriminatory and Analyze?
  19. I like this example. Just to be clear I am not trying to correct the rules of the game it's just a hypothetical exercise saying if lift str represents how much work/force that a normal man can exert how many multiples over that for a 60STR. So, the answer would be round 1000 times. But LIFT does not represent force and I am not suggesting it should. It's fun to think about though
  20. I was comparing the difference in lift capacity not the 5-point doubling. I am trying to figure what the real force multiple should be if using lift as the units of force
  21. I was doing some simple math and the numbers I got were very crazy so instead of believing the result I figured I am crazy, so wanted to see someone else say it first. How many times stronger (dead lift wise) is a 60 STR to a 10 STR?
  22. That would mean since it can be more severe alteration it should be severe then
