This is Scorpius, a power armored character with all arachnid inspired powers. Oh, one other note, without deliberately trying, I've posted several images that are cropped. Sorry, my scanner only takes 8 1/2 x 11 pages, most of my images are larger than this, so I placed the central mass of the character in the scanner. Anyway, here he is: Scorpius

The picture completely and totally sucks!

You forgot the shuriken. The broken and maimed bodies. And Bloodbath! Where's Bloodbath? You should be standing bloodily victorious over Bloodbath!

    Oh. Wait... that was Nightwatch...

Edit: Just so that no one takes offense, I've been critiquing/abusing Dr. Rushing's art for about the last 20 years. Still think you should do the pic where the suit comes out of his nose and all over the windshield of the car.

  2. I've got a character that has regeneration. Prior to 5th Ed he also had Aid for another character's BODY, only to starting level. The kicker was that he took BODY damage equal to the amount Aided. This was considered a special effect to a point as the character's Regen kicked in whenever he took a recovery.

Now I'm upgrading him to 5th and I need a good cost to modify his Healing to reflect that limitation. Regen is locked to the Post-Segment 12, so his Healing and damage may become more prone to combat interaction.

Any ideas as to the limit cost and why? I want the cost to make sense within the game. I don't want it too cheap as to make it a daily occurance and I don't want it too expensive as to prohibit the character's ability to have the power.

Now, I have to ask ... I've seen the phrase 'tactile TK' in a few places, but I don't read Superboy, so ... what the heck does 'tactile telekinesis' actually mean or do?

It keeps the battleship from collapsing in on itself when Superman picks it up.

(Never mind that a "mountain range" isn't in any way a single object that could be held up.) Superman kicking the moon out of orbit is patently silly -- there's a reason they scaled his power level way down. Throwing a battleship is borderline (since it assumes that the battleship could withstand its own weight on one point).

I know I'm running very much against the grain of comic books here, but as I've said before, there are parts of the comic book genre I simply don't care for. 4-Color settings, absurd power levels / feats, and lack of continuity/consistency are right there at the top of the list.

Depends on what you read. Superman was scaled down, yes. His powers, as they are defined, also changed. Forcefield (very close to his skin. His jammies don't get trashed, but his cape does), tactile tk (how do you think Superboy got it?). His strength comes from his solar charged cells, his heat vision comes from tapping the power directly.

  5. Grifter was trained as a Coda by Zealot. Grifter doesn't have a healing factor, nor is he resistant to damage. If you read current issues of WildCATS you'll find him in a wheel chair.

Grifter is highly accurate with his guns, but he does miss as well. He is highly trained with their use. He is the only member of Team 7 that didn't use the ability that he gained regularly, aside from Lynch.

I've been a bit annoyed with the collectable aspect of the hero clics, they would be good mini's but it would be nice to be able to get what you want instead of buying blind.

If you know what you are looking for, PM me or email me. I manage a store that sells singles. I can keep an eye out for any you may want and set them aside or something. No big deal for me to ship them to you.

We'd have to come to an agreement (prices and such).

The only thing I find a bit offputting is the pilot figs that are way bigger than the planes...that strikes me as odd.

Wizkids is using the old Ral Partha molds for the planes. The pilots are on the same scale as HeroClix/Mage Knight.

Crimson Skies will actually be 2 different games in one, from what I understand. There is the dogfight/aerial combat game and the Aces/ground combat game.

  8. We were playing a modern-day horror game. One of the players had a disadvantage of "Doesn't Believe in the Supernatural".

We had tracked a vampire to his lair. He was going around, taking us out, one at a time. He comes to this particular character, who dumps a whole clip from a MAC-10 into the vampire.

The vampire picks himself up, dusts himself off and says "I am NOT amused!"

The merc looks at the vampire. Looks at his trusty MAC-10 and then back at the vampire and says in a very whiny, almost crying voice, "Neither am I."
