  1. Re: London Knights

No offense taken, I just didn't think there were any Americans already. Hopefully the GM allows two Americans as the background I've worked out wouldn't make much sense if I'm not from the USA.

The "token" comment was intended as a playful jab at what I thought I saw.

  2. Re: Demolition Dunphy: Where's the Love?!

Very good question, D-Man has always been a personal favorite of mine as well. Maybe the disrespect is because he stole the costume from Daredevil's early days?

I don't understand why Daredevil got the respect he did. That character's powers are actually quite lame in my opinion and are either not that useful really or all powerful.

  3. Re: The fall of your character

    Titan :

He would like to go out in a major brawl between him and one of the heavy hitters of the version of the Marvel universe's future that he's in.

As a player, I'd like him to go out buying the rest of the team time to come up with a plan to take down said heavy.

More than likely, given the nature of the team and Titan's skills and personal supporting cast, he's more likely to live to a ripe old age and die trying to muster the strength to go take on the new up and coming next generation but not having any accept the challenge (he'll be at that time a retired Avenger with all the prestige that involves after all).

  4. Re: Catalyst: A Champions campaign on Hero Central

Just letting you know why I haven't posted again as of yet. I've taken your suggestion and gone back to the bare bolts of the concept. This has developed into new areas for the character, but I've got the character spread around in pieces at the moment that I need to recombine.

I would have had this done by now, but there was some personal havok this last weekend, and the dust in still settling down in areas. I hope to have the character reapplied by this weekend at the latest.

I did some minor changes on "Dryad"'s sheet. First off, I changed her name to Hesperides and then changed her Bark Skin's construction. Here's her current sheet.

  6. Re: Catalyst: A Champions campaign on Hero Central

I took a quick look at the site earlier and didn't notice that name for some reason, I'll do a little mythology research and come up with a different name. It's kind of a inside joke to her to name herself after a similar mythological creature given the scientific nature of her origin.

  8. Re: Catalyst: A Champions campaign on Hero Central

My submission is a botanist that had a real real bad day. She was in the process of splicing the DNA of two separate families of plants in order to produce a different family combining the traits of the previous two. In the process, she accidentally dropped the specimens and in the process of retrieving them ended up being cut and exposing her own DNA to the other two.

Upside, her DNA splicing experiment worked. Downside, she was the result. She now has plant based abilities including the ability to cover her skin with a reinforced bark as well as having the typical abilities one would attribute to a Dryad of plant control and generation from her own body.

  9. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Liked this when you posted it in my bricks thread and still like it. It was not only a good way of showing how to overcome a disadvantage, it was also very Superman like. If I had enough posts to spread rep, I'd definitely give you some. My "view first unread" showed the post about Ultraman, and I didn't notice that it wasn't the last post, sorry about the innane rambling

  10. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

With that last sentence, is he basically saying if you don't like it make your own version? If so, this is even worse "customer" relations than just saying that he thinks it's better this way because it makes it more confrontational in tone.

  11. Re: WWYCD: "Dear Superhero" (Warning: Ugly situation)

Discus would fall for this hook line and sinker. In fact, she'd probably even offer the services of a friend of hers to help spearhead the public relations. After all, celebrities tend to lend credence to things, and someone who was shot earning the gold for America has a lot of clout in America...
