  1. Re: Making Dancing weapons?

you use the computer rules to give int and ego and actions and such to objects.

You do this remember you buy computer and the automaton seperately. You can't build the comp, divide by 5, have the aut. pay the points, then buld rest of aut. and divide that by 5. :tsk:

  2. Re: Failure To Stop Drill

There is another move, I do not know what it is called. If the perp is out in front of you, and you gun is still in the holster.

    • The perp starts to move at you.
    • You draw and start to fire as soon as the gun clears the holster
    • The first and second shoots hit the ground between you and the perp.
    Why shoot the ground?

The third shot is low in the torso
The forth is high in the torso
The fifth is in the head.

Truth is this is Blazing Away plus Fast Draw. Hitting anything is dumb luck.

  3. Re: Stormy Relations

Your team-mate/fellow super Gadross, who has powers based on sound and can outplay/outsing any rock star ever, claims to be the Norse God of Rock. He also says that he is the son of Thor and his wife, the Goddess Sif. Now, whether you believe him or not, his family is in town. The God of thunder and his wife walk through the door.

    It's your mom and dad.

(If your character's mom and dad aren't usually very muscley, they are now.)

They look around, see you and say, in a surprised voice...

"Name! Um, we've been meaning to speak to you."

(If the character is unrecognisable in heroic ID, it doesn't matter, Thor's a god, he'll see right through it. If the character is an orphan, etc, s/he might not recognise hir birth-parents. But they explain, give a perfectly good reason for not telling you sooner. They tell you that obviously they don't expect you to just drop your adopted parents, if any, jump into their bosom, metaphorically, and join the family. But they would like to get to know you and eventually, you will become a god of whatever your character thinks is most important to him, like Godross is God of Rock Musicians and Their Fans, Thor is God of War and Honour and Odin is God of Knowledge and poetry.

So WWYCD? And what would they eventually become God of?

What about a robot? And don't tell me Thor built it; he's not mechanically able (put mildly).

  4. Re: new mutants; Magik's "soulsword"

I have a question about VPP. it says that no spell can have a active point total over the pool cost' date=' in this case 80. but what about the real costs?[/quote']

For VPPs the rule is simple:

What can go in: thery, anything; practise, whatever's within limits (if there's any limits); useful, whatever you wrote up all ready or what you can stat up on the fly.

How much can go it: #1 total real points of ALL active powers can't be more than the pool points #2 the active points or EVERY/EACH power can't be more than the pool points.

With 80 pool points, you could have 5 different powers, each with 70 active points and 3 1/4 worth of limitations. (70/(1 + 3.25)=16. 16x5=80).

  5. Re: Build my Computer!

Extremely rough translation. . . (I'm making up numbers as I go for an example)

INT - RAM, how much can be done at once

    DEX - CPU Speed

    SPD - CPU Speed

I thot Steve says INT is mental quickness, not memory.

  6. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Any setting with increased aging, slowed aging, non-standard aging, immortality, resurection, time travel, or unconventional birth can have a lot of these problems. "Your birth certificate says that you will be born 10 years from now so you're 31 years under the legal drinking limit, can't vote, can't drive, and can actually be legally terminated by your mother (ten years before birth is legal for an abortion, right)." A teen-aged looking immortal could collect social security and demand a senior citizen discount.

The whole years-from-birth system kind of goes out the window when a two year old can be mistaken for an 18+ year old.

    Or vice versa!

Yeah, the whole freaky-aging scene can get hariy. But sometimes fun. :eg: :eg:

  7. Re: Build my Computer!

I don't think there's a "conversion chart" for INT or DEX.

    "Slot-load SuperMulti DVD Burner

Watch, pause, rewind, and record live TV with the dual-format NTSC or over-air ATSC high-definition tuner"

These two are Images with Lims and shtuff.

  8. Re: Whoops, folks actually liked this: Nu Warriors!

I'm voting for Ranxerox in Greek Week!

    I'd follow him to Hell!

I'd fight Doctor Destroyer with him!

(Actually, aren't we doing that in 5 hours? Like, I know I was supposed to prepare and stuff, but we were hanging and y'know. Now that I think of it, we never did find out why that dude installed the fussball table at our frat...... geez. Maybe it isn't just a crazy coincidence that he worked for "Zerstroiten Industries."

...I gotta go pull the fire alarm at the Hall of Justice now. Then we can pull an all-nighter and fight for justice and hand in our poli. sci. papers on time!)

    M'gods, its a real frat-boy!

    j/k
