Strand
I missed something obvious with another question that I was going to post, but this one is bugging me. I create an END reserve (say 50 with a recovery of 7) (forgot there is the OIF). The Active Points are 12 and the Real points show up as 10. But I've divided by 1.5 and I get an entirely different number. So far Hero Designer hasn't done me wrong. I have used 4th edition mostly and have had to re-learn things. So, could someone tell me what I am missing? Thanks. Edited June 11, 2022 by Strand Forgot important information
tombrown803
Did you double check that Hero Designer is set on 5th edition and not 6th edition? Buy my math in 5th your reserve should have 12 AP and 8 real points, but in 6th it should have 15 AP and 10 real.
Strand
The character is set for 5th edition Superhero. I have have created a new character and tried again. The 5th Edition Book example, with 100 point END Reserve with 20 point recovery has OAF. By Any calculation that should come out to 15. But using the program it comes out to 25. Note: I am testing this on a PC laptop with a year old version of HD and on my Mac with the latest version. Both of them do the same thing. When I create an EB or just about anything else with some limitation, things add up. This is why I am asking. When I first posted, I thought I was doing something wrong with the END reserve. But the 5E book is doing it properly. Oh, and if I need to check if I am using 6th edition rules or 5th, there is the OMCV and DMCV that really stand out. Body is at the bottom of the page too. So I KNOW that I am making a 5E character. I'm wondering if I should report this. At this point the program is good for the Designing, but I have to go back on paper and recheck the calculations. Simon
HD's calculation is correct as you're only applying OAF to the Reserve itself (and not the REC). Modifiers are applied to the Reserve and the REC independently. Apply OAF to both the Reserve and the REC and HD will show it at 15 points.
