Guest Kolava
"There are several improperly-broken Power Modifier values in the sidebars." Is mentioned more then a dozen times in Fred's errata, but I don't understand what this is refering to.
Derek Hiemforth
For example, take a look at the Electrification Field example power on page 164. Both Damage Shield and Armor Piercing have their "(+1/2)" value broken up, so that "(+1" is on one line, and "2)" is on the next line. That's all it means. It's just a formatting error, not anything broken mechanically in the rules.
ghost-angel
No, there are a few mechanically broken samples in the sidebars. Look at the Werewolf Regeneration under the Healing Power sidebar .. it doesn't use the same rules they tell you to use in the Power description. Blue
I think Derek is right. "Improperly Broken" appears to reference how the line breaks were messed up. I think what you point out is just plain ol' broken.

Okay, but that's not what is being referred to when they say "There are several improperly-broken Power Modifiers." There is a specific errata entry for the Lycanthropic Regeneration error. It's not the same thing.
austenandrews
I think some parts of the rules can be classified as "properly broken." -AA
ghost-angel
ah, so Improperly Broken refers to bad type setting and line breaks. gotcha. the misconstructed powers are Properly Broken. I get it.
