AliceTheOwl
Re: The Last Word Yea, Chlorine, not good. We had an interesting thing at work. Chlorox brand seems to be more stable than some more generic brands. In other words, Cat Urine + Chlorox, not that bad. Cat Urine + Generic Bleach = Chlorine Gas. I was told they were the same thing, so I wound up syringing some urine up. I then showed the result of adding the different types. Seeing one just bubble a little and the other foam convinced them to go back. (And generally, you want to use a vinager solution to clean up urine, but if you're disinfecting litter boxes, bleach is pretty good) That's good to know. I've been using Clorox in my white laundry washes, and I sometimes fret about the possibility of traces of kitty ammonia on my socks. Cancer
Re: The Last Word Nope. The only reason I knew it was there at all was because I put my head directly over the little dish (between a watchglass and a crucible ... I don't know the right term) as we cooked it and looked into it. So it was coming straight up into my face. No clue about it any other way. Of course, we were supposed to be doing it and were working with fume hoods. It is a neat color though.
