arcady
Turakian age, and my own setting have multiple magic skills. If I want to buy skill levels in all magic skills - is that a 3 or 5 or 8 point skill level? I want to reflect that some of the races in my setting have a natural control of magic (pixies in my present case), and giving them skill levels for magic skills seems an ideal way to do it. Outsider
Re: Skill levels in Magic Skills Yeah, I'd go with 5 point levels too. 2 point levels raise a single magic skill. (say, Water Magic) 3 point levels raise a group of (usually, but not always, 3) related skills (say, The Elemental Schools of Magic (Earth, Water, Air, Fire)) 5 point levels raise all skills in a broad category (say, all 'magic' skills)
PhilFleischmann
Re: Skill levels in Magic Skills Just a side note: A tight (3-point) or broad (5-point) group might include both magic and non-magic skills. Such as 3 points for +1 with Water Magic, Sailing, and Survival (at sea).
Talon
Re: Skill levels in Magic Skills I believe Steve has done it with 3 point levels in at least some places, but I'd require 5 point levels for sure.
