ParitySoul Posted September 21, 2004 Report Share Posted September 21, 2004 Welcome to a superheroic nightmare. Our universe gets overrun by refugees from an alternative universe. They are fleeing from a vastly overpowered Villian of unimaginable powers. (EVIL GOD ie.) Problem is, they are thaumavores and picked our universe because of the abundance of energy the Champions universe has. The side effect is it's forcing an early dormant age. Powers are failing, magic is waning if not falling away completely. If more of the refugees show up, the new heroic age is over. Also, it's not an easy thing to go fight said Villian. Have some of our dimension's scientists cook up a gadget to simulate the environment of our dimension. Then we go in, powers blazing, within our own little field of earth-like environment. If that doesn't work, we hopefully can get the refugees to realize that draining our dimension of energy will just force them to go to another and us as well. They'd need to put a stop to that. If all they are doing is eating up the ambient mana levels at replenishment rate, then it doesn't matter where they live. This is all assuming they are actually reasonable and willing to make compromises and such. If they aren't, then they are essentially just another invader wanting to steal our resources. If the Thaumavores are polite Husky will change into Kenneth expecting Kenneth to develop a plan for assaulting the Evil God. Kenneth realizing the Thaumavores are a plague will develop a weapon to expel them from this dimension and shunt them to somewhere else. Husky wouldn't want to use the device until a)he started to see the negative effect or b)the Clarkebots convince him it's the right thing to do.
