Haymaker & Mental Entangle?

If your character is, say, a teleporting speedster trapped in a Works Against EGO, Not STR Entangle, can you haymaker the stupid entangle to increase your chances of escaping? You have until until May 6th to reply.

Haymaker is applied to attacks. Breaking a mental Entangle might involve Pushing your EGO, but I don't think you can Haymaker Characteristics because Characteristics are not an attack. You don't Haymaker your STR; you Haymaker the Strike you make with your STR. EGO does not come with a mental Strike maneuver.
