I'll want to give this more thought to come up with specific examples, but in the meantime if you have access to the HERO System Bestiary the examples of animal-human hybrids, and the host of mix-and match templates of creature types and abilities, would let you generate lots of scorpion variants pretty quickly.

 

Just blending the Giant Scorpion and Centaur character sheets would give you an impressive Scorpiotaur.

I don't have any of the nifty new templates installed to post the character sheet ('cause I'm still back on HDv1 ), but I'm attaching a scorpion-theme villain from my game.

 

Setesh (and his cousins) are descendants of Set. He's able to assume scorpion or hybrid forms. Might give you some ideas.
