Concerning Wondy killing Max -- wasn't there some statement in Infinite Crisis itself that a lot of the out-of-character antics of recent years was because Psycho Pirate was mindzapping everyone, presumably with help from Alexander Luthor? That or in a scene that got cut from the final version of the story, Max tells WW that he's the one who used a hidden camera to take all those pictures of her naked in the shower which were then sold to the Internet...
