Edsel
Just how big is a "large shuriken?" I am talking about the ones listed in the UMA and the Equipment Guide. As written-up these things do as much damage as some bows. For that matter how big are the "normal shuriken?" I have been googling around some without much success. Lots of pictures, lots of shuriken but no definitive statements about size in inches.
Curufea
Re: Shuriken Question I would have thought the size fairly irrelevant - that the main killing factor would be the poison put on them.
tgrandjean
Re: Shuriken Question The large shuriken IIRC were about 6-8" (or more!) in dia, weighing about 1-1.5 lbs. They were supposedly mostly used to kill horses. Normal shuriken are about 1-2" in dia, very light, usually poisoned.
Edsel
Re: Shuriken Question Thanks, that was what I was looking for. If the large shuriken are that large then they probably should do the 1d6+1 that the UMA calls for.
Susano
Re: Shuriken Question Cinematic shuriken should be as lethal as guns. However, one could arge they should have Reduced Penetration, since most have many small points as opposed toone big one.
