Kajaro Posted May 30, 2003 Report Share Posted May 30, 2003 I'm looking for some inexpensive solutions to mind link (possibly some modifiers or alternate powers for effect). I have a duplicator who splits into a total of 5 selves (1 lead and 4 dupes). I'm looking to pick up a form of connection between them ... here is what I am looking for: Since each of the dupes is identical to the first I'm wanting to have all of my duplicates almost intuitively know what the other is thinking - but not to such a level where they can flat out talk in each others heads. Here is an example of an interaction that happened in a game: Man1: (standing alongside dupe #4 on 43rd story of a building looking out a window - he picks up a comlink and calls down to the lead-dupe) "I want the area swept for terrorists .. I trust you can handle this... no one is to get into this building, understood?" Dupe #4: (standing next to the man who is talking in a com to the lead-dupe) "We understand." Lead-Dupe: (currently on the ground with the remaining dupes fan out and look for clues). See? I'd like to hear your thoughts how you think this is built and how much it would cost. SuperGuy Posted May 30, 2003 Report Share Posted May 30, 2003 Well, mindlink is a communication thing and without the one dupe telling the others it would be like hearing at ranged... as if they were bugged for each other. So... if you want that effect then it would be clairsentience and would be pricey unless you bought it through an item. But that's just my opinion. pinecone Posted May 30, 2003 Report Share Posted May 30, 2003 Take a look at the intuative only lim on danger sense and port it over for mind link and I think you'll be close...and if the dupes are identical and all have mind link,the other must have and limited group lims are a given...that should make it plenty cheap....Oh ,late thought I once ran an "army of one" char and I included mind scan:only other dupes so I could always find myself.... So ... 1) Mind Link with a limitation intutive only, and also with the limitation only with others who have mind link should help buy the cost down. 2) Would the mind scan trick be the same as detect duplicates sense?
