Agent333
If my character has Clinging and he becomes Desolid can he still cling to walls and ceilings or does he need to buy "Affects Real World" for the Clinging?
Gary Ciaramella
He will need affect the real world... without it, he can only cling to desolid walls

Kintara
Bah, you can take clinging. Just define the effect as being related to the same "force of will" effect that allows you to not fall through the floor.
TheEmerged
My first attempt to run the HERO System was with a single player built around desolidification. As a result, I'm something of a bear when it comes to this power. Unless it's a case of using Desolid to mimic a specific trick/effect, I don't even let desolid characters BREATHE unless they spend points appropriately. So yeah, the Clinging would need Affects Real if I'm the GM -- and your Strength would need it as well, or you wouldn't be allowed to apply the minimum strength necessary to apply the clinging. As stated, however, my opinion probably represents the hardliner approach.
