[PC Group] Millennial Men

Killer Shrike

Recommended Posts

Revisited the Millennial Men site, stemming from some conversations and reminiscing with past players and a general urge to update the look and feel of the site.

Why should you care? I doubt that you do directly, but there are character write ups, hdc files, and ideas to pilfer thru for the experienced and inexperienced alike and if HERO System players are anything, they are source material cannibals.

This link cuts to the chase:

I got all of the PC's (both members of the team and allies) revised and reposted with new export templates, and a few other NPC allies here and there. Im going to start going thru by HD files and digging up villains and getting them posted up next, starting with the ENFORCERS INC crew.

Enjoy!

Re: [PC Group] Millennial Men

Killer Strike The games you seem to be full of Roleplaying chances please help me places these kinda roleplaying operturnities in my game

Ok...mostly I just try to

a) key off of the characters backgrounds, disads, abilitiies and also how they are played

B) incorporating events that have occured in play into the story

My general method of gauging characters is detailed here:

http://www.killershrike.com/GeneralHERO/HERO5RelvanceReliablity.htm

From that perspective, I periodically reassess the characters and determine what I can do to increase individual character's relevance, and to give characters that are very reliable at certain things opportunities to demonstrate their competance.

I also require the players to do everything in character unless I specifically stop the roleplaying and forward the plot along with a narration. In combat scenes I want both a mechanical explanation of what the player does, as well as a flavor explanation of what their character does. This helps keep the "roleplaying" aspect in the forefront as well.

And finally I just try to remember the genre and the intended tone and feel, and keep bringing in elements that reenforce them.

It's more of an art than a science, Im afraid, but those are all techniques that help.
