Clonus Posted November 1, 2007 Report Share Posted November 1, 2007 Although your character probably didn't know it, once upon a time in the Golden Age, there was a character who had the same name, or nearly the same name. The first guy disappeared way back when, but now in a fit of comic book author nostalgia he reappears out of a timewarp still young enough to be in action. And he's a little annoyed that some Johnny-Come-Lately has come along and taken his name just because he's been out of operation for some 40 or 50 or so years. Does your character return the irritation, ignore the not-so-old fart, or consider whether he should be polite to his elders and think of a new name for himself? Vitus, on the other hand, would be rather surprised. He's fairly unique, and if there were any alien hyena conjurors around 50 years ago he would have thought someone would mention it before now.
