Yesman
Are there any pics of the Xenovores online? And/Or any of the Maps? (the Terran Empire map that's available is sweet!) I'm looking to run a game soonish, and would love to have a few handouts to show the players preferably by posting links to the campaign board. Also (with much chagrin) I don't have my book with me right now - and can't recall exactly what the damn things look like..., I wonder if there is any D&D critter roughly analogous to the Xenovore (i plan on using miniatures, and the little plastic D&D ones are life-savers). Thia Halmades
Re: Alien Wars/Xenovore Q's They're basically a variant on lizard folk; kinda scaled, with leech-like mouths. They come in various flavors for the purpose of making them how you want them to be. I can't find any really analagous images in the SRD, though. BobGreenwade
Re: Alien Wars/Xenovore Q's They're not so much lizards and humanoid (two arms, two legs) scorpions. Actually they're kind of an amalgamation of just about everything, but humanoid scorpions with vertical mouths and very long tails is the basic appearance. Lord Liaden
Re: Alien Wars/Xenovore Q's There's a black-and-white drawing of a couple of xenovores on p. 298 of the original HERO System Fifth Edition rulebook, aka FREd. I don't have the Revised rulebook, so I don't know whether that illustration made it into that book.
Wyrm Ouroboros
Re: Alien Wars/Xenovore Q's Use the creatures from Alien/Aliens/Alien3/Alien Resurrection. Or the bugs from R.A. Heinlein's Starship Troopers -- of either the book or the movie. Or the 'Ants' from the book Armor. Or just human-size any insect or arachnid. Or whatever. In a war of extinction against a xenovoric race, appearance isn't the most important part of the critter -- or, perhaps, it's THE most important part. Make them viscerally repugnant, and you got your critter.
