Theron
I'm in the process of rolling out a new campaign. It's hardly innovative, as I'm using the "New Columbians" campaign seed out of Scott Bennie's Gestalt. The group I'm running for consists of one old gaming buddy and several mutual friends we know via the local HeroClix scene. As I was putting my ducks in a row and typing up a campaign intro, it hit me: it's been almost ten years since I last GMed Champions on a regular basis. I've played quite a bit during that time (notably, the long-running "Fair City" campaign), but apart from one brief and unsuccessful foray about two years ago, I haven't been behind the GM's screen since November of '98. Oh ye gods and monsters, what am I letting myself in for?
Querysphinx
Re: Has It Really Been TEN YEARS? Oh ye gods and monsters, what am I letting myself in for? Pain, agony and frustration. Hopefully the kind that's good for you.
mattingly
Re: Has It Really Been TEN YEARS? The new player in my group hasn't played Champions in forever. The last time he even ran Champions was back in 4th Ed when he was running for Steve Long and his buddies.
Pariah
Re: Has It Really Been TEN YEARS? Before the current campaign I'm GMing, the last time I did it was under 4th Ed. rules. It was a bit of an adjustment, but not too bad. Keep with it, and you'll do great!
