This, IMNSHO, should be the one where all the heroes are going to say to themselves and maybe each other, 'You know, he really [i']is[/i] just on the other side of the line from us -- we could become him if we were only a little more obsessed, a little more final about things...' The Last Avenger. Well, the mystic idea was to put him in the same grouping as Black Paladin, Dark Seraph, etc. And the origin story that is writing itself in my head is definitely not "instant bad guy"; evil mystic power can be slowly seductive when it wants to be.
