Some interesting possibilities. Still, it seems to on one hand, ignore a lot of available off the shelf heavy lifter tech, while at the same time, going for on the shelf stuff for a project not designed to go beyond LEO......So.....

 

What's being spun here?

It sounds like the off-the-shelf-LEO stuff would be used for ISS support and other LEO activities, while a Mars heavy lift capability would be designed from a clean sheet of paper. But IANARS.

I still get a laugh out of the fact all the pictures Barry's people keep picking for his "SCIENCE!" magazine and paper releases on how he's pro Space Now, all contain Images of the programs he wants to boot to the curb....heh....Like this one .....(too good of a Pic not to post though....but Give it up for DELTA IV HEAVY!!!!!!! WOOT!!!!)
