bigbywolfe
Just what the title asks. When building communication gear what do you generally use, High Range Radio Perception or Radio Perception/Transmission? I know they are pretty similar, the only main difference being that HRRP is built with a broader Detect, but I was just curious what most of you used as default. This is for a 5ER Champions game if that makes any difference. If you answer could you tell me why you chose the Power you did? I’m actually quite curious about this one. Roy_The_Ruthles
Re: Communication Gear: HRRP or Radio Perception/Transmission? Usually Mindlink. It makes everything simpler, and more secure. This assumes that the GM will let you buy mindlink for this though. I don't do much dark champions or heroic modern settings, so I haven't used HRRP or RP/T. Kraven Kor
Re: Communication Gear: HRRP or Radio Perception/Transmission? Radio is 10 Points. HRRP is 12. Without books in front of me, I can't recall what the reasoning is for the difference. I've always used Radio for things like walkie-talkies, CB radios, short wave, etc. Stuff anyone with a Radio Shack Electronics Kit can figure out how to listen in on. HRRP is, to me, for things like Cell Phones or other (somewhat) more secure methods of communications.

Also, HRRP includes the ability to sense radar emissions, which could come in handy
