1 and 1/3rd cup minced carrots 
1/3rd cup dry red wine 
2 tablespoons minced thyme 
1 teaspoon Oregano 
2/3rd cup minced basil leaves 
Salt and pepper 
1/4th cup Virgin Olive Oil 

In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and heat. Add the onions and garlic to the pan, cooking until the onions have softened. Next, add the carrots, stir, and then add the wine to deglaze. Next, reduce the heat to medium and add the thyme, cooking for an additional 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and juices, bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer. Finally, add the basil and continue to cook over low heat, 20 to 30 minutes. Taste to season and remove from the heat.

Example 1: Ronin has caught the Brood breaking into a DBC research center. Unfortunately, he’s alone, and Mock wants to make an example. Mock has the following attack:

 

Favored Attack: Mind A Beating? 18 (Intelligence 12 + Secondary: Telekinetic 6) Dice 3 Energy 1 Damage: 4 Wounds Notes: Mock likes to create large firsts made of Telekinetic force, but has been known to mix this up, especially when he’s upset.

 

Mock Spends 1 Willpower to add Power Trick: Blast.

 

The GM describes Mock’s altered Mind Beating as a giant telekinetic hand that flicks Ronin, sending him flying back.into a building across the street and inflicting a second hit for 6 Wounds.     

 

Example 2:  While facing off against Mordred, Noble is being battered and knocked around. The battle is not going well. Summoning all his strength Noble plunges his blade into the ground unleashing it’s mystic strength in a desperate attempt to route the Hell Knight.

Situational Support adds Noble’s Occult Talent raising his base Value from 27 to 32, and the Wounds from 12 t o14.

 

Noble’s Roll: 2,  6, 3, 5  

 

Normally Noble’s Final Attack Value would be 48. With the Amazing Critical Feature this becomes 53. Also, Noble’s Damage jumps from 14 Wounds to 18 Wounds, that is +2 from Rolling a 6 + an additional 2 for Amazing Critical.

 

Mordred’s Defense is lower than 53. A fissure rips open before Mordred and the Hell Knight tumbles barely catching a  jagged rock several meters below.
