Syberdwarf2
Okay folx, my first champions game is in about an hour. I have the first adventure planned out and blank forms, pregens, pre-rolled damage, et cetera. However, this is my first time GMing since 96. It's also my first time GMing HERO. Any last minute advice, comments, or prophecies of destruction? Thanx in advance
RadeFox
Easy DONT FRET THE SMALL SH*T! Keep your focus and attention on the story, the rules and rolls can all be an inexact science (Ie fudged, forgotten, or mis-done), as long as the story is unfolding in a manner fun for you and the players. Consistency in the rolls and rules is a good thing, but that comes in time with experience with the system and a settling into the duties of GM'ing. In the beginning, just keep it moving, and the players involved. and GOOD LUCK< and HAVE FUN!
Supreme Serpent
Exactly. Keep it moving along. If it advances the plot, allow it. If it looks good/fits the genre, allow it. Go with first instinct/quick lookup for rules. Don't get bogged down. Make a ruling, if that would change player's action, allow them to change action. Save detailed rule lookups/discussions till after the session is over. Keep the momentum going.
